Headed back to Barguse on Sunday for dressage and jumping day, just to reinforce the previous week and get our first dressage comp out the way…as expected a very unsettled test where Louie spent most of his time calling to his mate but with some nice bits mixed in, he did everything I asked and we had lovely comments from the judge and spectators, his first ridden rosette and it wasn’t a last place 58% ish for 6th…hung around for the jumping in the afternoon to see if we had learned anything from the previous week…entered just the 50 class and he was so keen, a bit hesitant over the first but went clear, unfortunately we had the last down in the jump off…but managed to claim first place!! 💪🏼😎 obviously had to buy some pics! Had another go HC and he grew in confidence, we had a nice little rhythm going in places, think we both got a bit cocky coming down the final two fences and we messed up the striding between us and he had the last down, I think he enjoyed himself!
