Let's Dance Academy - St Albans "There are shortcuts to happiness and dancing is one of them"

Classes held in Marshalswick, St Alba We also run adult classes in Ballet, Contemporary and Tap.

LDA is a energetic and inspiring dance school based in Marshalswick. Since opening in 1968 LDA has grown into a leading dance school in St Albans with around 400 students. Our passionate teaching team conforms to the high standards set by the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing, the premier international examining body for dance. We hold a full timetable of classes for children aged 3+ in Classical Ballet, Tap, Modern, Jazz, Contemporary and Street Dance. Students have the opportunity to take regular I.S.T.D classes, exams and workshops. We also hold regular performance opportunities and shows for both our junior and senior classes as well as our dance company Spectrum. LDA prides itself in it's welcoming atmosphere, exceptional teaching team and passion for teaching dance.

Just a little reminder about our LDA Recognition System 💛

Everyone who took part in our show should now have received their LDA tote bag.

For all of our new students joining us from September onwards, you’ll receive your own LDA tote bag too!

We introduced these as a little way of making sure everyone who becomes part of LDA feels recognised and valued. It’s also something they can keep as a reminder of their journey with us when their time at LDA eventually comes to an end. 🥹💛

It might only be a tote bag, but to us it represents being part of the LDA family.

🎬✨ LDA SHOW MOVIE NIGHT ✨🎬

We’re starting the new dance year by getting together to relive all the wonderful memories from Captivate and celebrate everything our dancers achieved!

📅 Friday 18th September
📍 Wheatfields Junior School – Main Hall
⏰ Arrive from 7:00pm
🎥 Film begins at 7:15pm
🏁 Finishing between 9:15pm and 9:30pm

The evening is open to all students who participated in the show.

Come in your pyjamas or wear something super cosy and comfortable! Bring your pillows, blankets or beanbags, along with your favourite movie-night drinks and snacks. 🍿

Please remember that no snacks containing nuts are permitted, due to allergies.

Parents must remain with children aged six and under. Students aged seven and above may attend without a parent, provided they are mature and confident enough to look after themselves appropriately during the evening. Members of the LDA team will be there to oversee the event.

WE START BACK THIS SATURDAY💃🤩

We hope you’ve had a lovely summer and can’t wait to see everyone back in class on Saturday!

We are super pleased to say that most of our classes are now full for this term and are so happy that lots of you are trialing and joining new classes since the summer show.

We have a list of classes below that still have some availability left if anyone would like to trial for free the first week back.

From the classes listed, there is something suitable for all ages from 2 all the way up to our adult classes. Whether it be an ISTD Syllabus class in ballet, tap, or modern or a creative class working on new skills and routines. We also have our acro classes which are super fun working on flexibility and new tricks.

Please let us know if there’s anything you wish to try as spaces are filling up fast!
