This is Cheril.
She’s 79 going on 30 — and that’s not just down to her personality (although that helps!). It’s down to her mindset, her discipline… and yes, Pilates.
Age truly is just a number, and she is living, breathing proof.
For the last 20 years she has committed herself to Pilates — and for 15 of those years, I’ve had the absolute privilege of being by her side. In that time she has become so much more than a client. She is my friend, my confidante, my advisor, and one of the greatest inspirations in my life.
Before Pilates, she was spending hundreds of pounds every month on physios and chiropractors, trying to manage pain and discomfort. Then she discovered the power of consistent movement, strength, and control. She now practises five times a week — and has done for years.
And let me tell you… she is stronger than most men and women half her age.
But what truly sets her apart isn’t just physical strength. It’s her mindset. Her determination. Her commitment to mastering her craft. She shows up. She puts the work in. She never makes excuses.
She reminds me every single day that growing older doesn’t mean growing weaker. It means getting wiser, stronger, and more resilient — if you choose to.
It is never too late to start. And it is certainly never too late to commit to something that can quite literally transform — and even save — your life.
I love this woman dearly. We have been through so much together, and I wouldn’t change a single moment.
Thank you, Cheril, for inspiring me, for trusting me, and for being the strong, dedicated, extraordinary woman you are.
If we are half as powerful at 79 as she is, we will be doing something very right.
Happy is her….Whatever life through day her, she smiles! She keeps going.….She is Cheril 🖤
