Specialized Rockhopper sl 🚲

For a bike that’s been designed in the relatively mud-free environs of southern California🌞, it’s a surprisingly practical proposition for slime-surfing duties. There’s also a very neat set of rack mounts at the rear, making the Rockhopper one of those rare bikes that’s capable of doubling up as a commuter during the week and a trail machine at the weekend. And, of course, every tube is butted where possible to save weight without sacrificing strength.👍

A lovely Lady brought to service her well-used 4 years old electric Cube bike, there was a drive issue, and she asked to replace chain and cassette😔. However, the loose crank was so disturbing that the patient had to land on the surgery table.🤔
Patient: Bosch Performance line CX
Diagnosis: Completely damaged main bearing, noisy right-hand crankshaft bearing, water running through the motor to the left-hand side causing corrosion drive gear bearings🧐
The cure: Bosch Motor overhaul bearing kit😃🚴‍♀️.

The Allez has quite a history behind it, with a timeline stretching back to 1979, when the ﬁrst Allez bikes were made in Japan. 👀Production has since moved, with today’s frame proudly boasting a ‘handmade in Taiwan’ sticker on the down tube. 💪💪
The Allez is a machine with racing ambitions coursing through its veins, designed to be ridden fast. Even with 23mm tyres there’s no clearance for full mudguards, with no mountings for them or racks. Look further beneath the surface and there are even more race-ready features in its DNA. 🚴‍♀️🚴🚴‍♂️🏅

GT Avalanche Disc. The combination of slim rear stays and mid-sized down tube is outstandingly smooth, while the beefier top tube keeps things in line and under control. You can get a bit of rear disc rub if you really pile the pressure on through corners or on climbs, but you never feel you’re wasting power or losing precision. The lack of chatter and steep seat angle keeping the nose down helps traction when you’re charging up climbs too. There are frames costing more than this bike that feel less cultured.🚴‍♀️🚴🚴‍♂️🏅

The Rockhopper Specialized an impressive spec and a sharp and rapid ride.. The chassis. The M4 frame looks as good as any top-line race bike. .🚵‍♀️🚵
The stout Tora forks act as a psychological bolster, and once the bike’s up to speed the suspension action tempts you to continually push your boundaries. The bike’s as at home on leisurely seated romps along meandering trails as it is attacking a stretch of singletrack full-tilt. A wider bar with less pronounced sweep would undoubtedly improve handling, as the average rider will realise as his skills progress. With a light and agile ride feel that belies its actual weight, you do need to be aware that V-brakes are all that’s slowing you, even though you just can’t help being lulled into false sense of security by the ride.😎
