St Agnes AFC Cuckoos - Ladies Over 35’s

The Cuckoos enjoyed the sunshine at Porthtowan Ecopark yesterday playing in the Cornwall Womens Recreational Vets Football League. Four brilliant games of 7 a side football. First two games didn’t go our way losing 1-0 in both games but playing and passing really well. Finally in the last two games getting some long awaited goals. Finishing 2-2 and winning 1-0.

Great morning of football, sun and fun with like minded women. Great morning. Thanks as usual to everyone involved. See you at the next one!

The Cuckoos had a morning of football yesterday at this years 1st vets tournament at Goonhavern FC with Cornwall Womens Recreational Vets Football League.
The results didn’t go our way, but we had a great time in the process and enjoyed getting out in the sunshine and catching up with all the other teams after the winter break.

Our fab ladies flew high at the Cornwall Women’s Vets League Festival coming Runners Up — bagging 2 wins, 3 draws and 1 loss!🏆⚽️

Some cracking goals, top teamwork, and plenty of laughs along the way — the Cuckoos had a fabulous morning🖤❤️

What a lovely morning of sunshine and football for the St Agnes Cuckoos ladies vets team at the 1st league tournament for the Cornwall Womens Recreational Vets Football League 2025/26 season!
Well done to all teams that entered and to Elevate ladies who pipped Truro Bluebirds to take the trophy!

Thanks you to the Cornwall Womens Recreational Vets Football League for today’s tournament on our home ground at Enys Park in the beautiful sunshine.
Our team was made up of some new faces as our numbers were low, a huge thank you to Helen, Rachel and Stacey for stepping in!! Lots of fun was had, and such a lovely atmosphere with all of the teams. Thanks Lisa for your ongoing brilliance!

A fantastic runout for the St Agnes Ladies Vets team today at the Cornwall Womens Recreational Vets Football League tournament in St Stephen.
4 new team members, lots of running and laughter in the Cornish Mizzle!

The St Agnes Ladies Veterans team “The Cuckoos” made their debut today in the first Cornwall Womens Recreational Vets Football League fixture at Kenwyn Playing Fields near Truro.
The team made up of some of the current ladies reserve team members, and with some returning players dusting off their boots, it was a fabulous morning of football, with the ladies coming 3rd overall. Well done to Sophie H, top goal scorer for the Cuckoos, and to all the other teams who took part with Redruth coming out on top.
A huge well done to Lisa Marley (an Aggie regular) who has worked tirelessly to get this new league off the ground.
We are really looking forward to the upcoming fixtures over the summer months ⚽️🖤🤍
