📢 NOTICE OF ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING 📢

The Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Saffron Walden Community Youth Sports Club will take place on:

📅 Monday 22 June 2026
🕢 7:30pm
📍 Saffron Walden Town FC, Catons Lane

All eligible members are warmly invited to attend.

This year’s AGM will include:

⚽ A review of the 2025/26 season
📊 Presentation of the Club accounts
🛡️ Welfare & safeguarding update
👥 Trustee / Officer appointments
📄 Important proposals regarding the future governance and structure of the Club, including a proposed updated Constitution

Copies of AGM papers, including proposed constitutional changes, will be circulated in advance of the meeting.

We encourage members to attend and help shape the future of our Club as we continue to grow and develop for boys, girls and women’s football in our community.

All ticket proceeds go towards the Saffron Walden Community Football Club fundraising appeal to upgrade the Crabtrees Multi-Use Games Area (MUGA) into a modern, versatile facility for the community.

⚽ SWCFC Fantasy Football Manager Winners 2025-26! ⚽

And we have our winners! Kudos to the two managers that saw off stiff competition to be crowned SWCFC FWSL and FPL winners of the season.

Lisa Knight was victorious in the SWCFC Fantasy Women's Super League Competition with her team 'The Looney Toones" taking an early lead and beating Sharon Heinrich's "Do you like your pasta Caldentay?" by an impressive 97 points.

Henry Clare was the clear winner in the SWCFC Fantasy Premier League Competition with his team "Florian Sqw1rtz" also taking the lead early in the season and ultimately beating his nearest rival Joe Cole "Joe C's Giants" by a whopping 286 points.

Well done to both Lisa and Henry - enjoy basking in your victories!

We should also mention that the competition raised huge £453.75 for our fundraising with all profits going to the refurbishment.

We have added another Female Pathway Talent ID Session and Female Goalkeeper Talent ID Session ready for 2026/27 season.

These sessions will be taking place at Saffron Walden County High School on Friday 7th August, see full details below:

📢 Club Update 📢

We’d like to let everyone know that from next season, our women’s league team will be affiliating with Saffron Walden Town FC and will no longer be run by Saffron Walden Community FC.

⚽❤️We’re incredibly proud of everything this team has achieved over the past two years and grateful to every player who has helped build such a strong women’s football community in Saffron Walden.

While the women’s league team is moving on, our recreational sessions, vets team, walking football group, and committee will remain at Saffron Walden Community FC and you will be able to follow our progress throughout the season on here 🤝

🌟 We’ll continue to provide an inclusive, welcoming, and supportive environment for women’s football, and everyone will always be welcome to join us.

We wish the players and team all the very best for next season and the future.

⚽️U13 GIRLS⚽️

Players wanted for next season!!

We are looking for 2-3 experienced new players to join our Girls U13 JPL Warriors team after a successful season.

Matches: Saturdays
Training: Twice a week

Open training sessions will be held at SWCHS in Saffron Walden, Essex on the 2nd, 9th, 16th, and 23rd June.
