🚲 A few pictures from the weekend and today at Saffron Cycles! 🔧

It’s been another busy few days in the workshop, with plenty of different jobs keeping us on our toes!

🇩🇰 Danish born and bred!

We had a tyre replacement and gear cable replacement on this one. It certainly tested us with its fiddly gearbox 😅, but it’s now running smoothly again, with the new tyre helping to reduce the risk of future punctures.

🔧 Two Silver Services – just £60 each!

One on a Liv and another on a Cannondale, which also needed a crank replacement — completed with no additional labour charge.

I mean… just look at the quality of what we offer for £60! 😱🚲

⚙️ Last-minute emergency repair!
We also received an urgent request for a bottom bracket replacement.

It was assessed, quoted and the part sourced — and it’ll be back with its owner and ready to ride tomorrow!

🛞 We don’t just fix punctures — we try to prevent them!
You might be thinking, “Surely that’s counterproductive? Don’t you want people coming back to get their punctures fixed?” 😂

Of course, we’re incredibly thankful for every customer who uses our services, but our ethos is about being open, honest and helping our customers save money where we can.

Punctures have actually been one of our most common visits recently, which is why we carry out simple checks on tyres, inner tubes and rims to identify anything that could increase your chances of getting another puncture.

We also stock self-sealing inner tubes and have access to Tubolito inner tubes. Yes, they come with a higher price tag, but once registered, eligible Tubolito tubes come with a one-year puncture replacement — another option for riders looking for extra peace of mind.

🚲 Saffron Cycles is about more than simply fixing bikes. We want to keep you riding, save you money where we can and help you make more memories on two wheels.

📲 You can now book with us directly through our page!

We’ve added a Book Now button to the Saffron Cycles page, making it quicker and easier to get in touch and arrange your bike repairs or servicing.

We do prefer to book bikes in where possible, but we know bike repairs don’t always happen to plan! If something suddenly goes wrong, just send us a message or pop down and see us.

We’ve had a fantastic start to the week, with plenty of customers popping in to say hello and lots of bikes booked into the workshop! 🙌

🚲 A BIG THANK YOU FROM SAFFRON CYCLES! 🚲

I just wanted to say a massive THANK YOU to everyone who has popped into the shop, stopped for a chat, booked a bike in or trusted me with their servicing and repairs. 🔧❤️

The support for Saffron Cycles has been fantastic, and it genuinely means a lot to a small local business like mine.

👀 COMING THIS WEEK…

I’m going to be looking at creating a dedicated Saffron Cycles Facebook Group to bring together local cyclists of all disciplines and abilities. 🚵‍♂️🚴‍♀️

🚲 WE WANT YOUR FEEDBACK! 🚲

It's a long one this but please view to the end and comment below.

As Saffron Cycles continues to grow, we’ve been throwing around a couple of ideas — but before we take them any further, we want to hear from the people who actually matter… our customers and local cycling community!

🔧 IDEA 1 – SAFFRON CYCLES MEMBERS CLUB
Would you be interested in joining a Saffron Cycles Facebook Members Group for around £10 per year? ( price and terms to be confirmed)
Membership could include:
✅ 5% discount on servicing
✅ 5% discount on parts & accessories
✅ Members-only offers and promotions
✅ Early access to service slots
✅ Group rides and cycling meet-ups
✅ Advice, tips and support
✅ A place to buy, sell and talk all things bikes
The idea would be to create a proper local cycling community rather than simply another Facebook group.

🌲🚵 IDEA 2 – A LOCAL BIKE PARK!
This one is a much bigger idea… but you have to start somewhere!
We'd love to explore whether there could be an opportunity to create a local bike park / dedicated cycling area.

Depending on the land and what was possible, we'd love something that could eventually cater for different ages and abilities — potentially including MTB trails, skills areas, jumps, pump-style features and areas where younger or less experienced riders can build confidence.

But first, we need to know…
Would people actually use it?

👍 Would you join the Members Club for £10/month?
🚵 Would you use a local bike park?
👨‍👩‍👧 Would your children/family use it?
💡 What would YOU want to see included?

And finally — does anyone have experience with setting up bike parks, landowners, planning, councils, grants, trail building or community projects?
