The Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Saffron Walden Community Youth Sports Club will take place on:

All eligible members are warmly invited to attend.

This year’s AGM will include:

⚽ A review of the 2025/26 season
📊 Presentation of the Club accounts
🛡️ Welfare & safeguarding update
👥 Trustee / Officer appointments
📄 Important proposals regarding the future governance and structure of the Club, including a proposed updated Constitution

Copies of AGM papers, including proposed constitutional changes, will be circulated in advance of the meeting.

We encourage members to attend and help shape the future of our Club as we continue to grow and develop for boys, girls and women’s football in our community.

☀️⚽️ What a fantastic Saturday morning at Saffron Walden County High School for our 3v3 Festival and fundraising bake sale! 🧁🙌

There was plenty of football, smiles and sunshine as our youngest players enjoyed a brilliant morning of fun, teamwork and matches in the warm weather 🌞⚽

A huge thank you to everyone who supported the bake sale, donated cakes, volunteered their time and came along to support. Thanks to your incredible generosity - including Gift Aid - we raised an amazing £1,000+ towards our campaign! 👏❤️

Every penny raised takes us a step closer to improving facilities for our players and wider community, and we’re so grateful for all the support behind this exciting project.

A brilliant morning on and off the pitch — thank you everyone! 🔴⚫️⚽️

🔴⚫️ NEW ERA. NEW OPPORTUNITY. U16 EJA OPEN TRAINING SESSION ⚽️

Saffron Walden Community FC are excited to invite players to our U16 EJA (2026/27) Open Training Session as we begin an exciting new chapter for the age group.

With an entirely new management and coaching team coming in for next season, this is a fantastic opportunity for ambitious players to become part of something fresh, competitive and exciting.

The new team will be focused on creating a positive, high-energy environment where players can develop, compete and enjoy their football, supported by excellent facilities and a clear pathway into higher levels of the game.

We are looking for committed, enthusiastic players who want to challenge themselves in the highly respected EJA League and be part of a squad with big ambitions for next season.

🏃‍♂️ SUPPORT MAX’S 100KM CHALLENGE 🏃‍♂️

Throughout June, Max Poulter is taking on an incredible challenge: running 100km to help raise money for the new 5-a-side MUGA pitches at Saffron Walden Community Football Club.

He’s helping create something that will benefit hundreds of local children for years to come.

The new MUGA facility will provide a safe, modern space for young people to play football, stay active and enjoy sport all year round. It’s a project that will make a genuine difference to our community.

Max has already completed his first 8km and is well on his way, but he’d love your support.

⚽ SWCFC Fantasy Football Manager Winners 2025-26! ⚽

And we have our winners! Kudos to the two managers that saw off stiff competition to be crowned SWCFC FPL and FWSL winners of the season.

Henry Clare was the clear winner in the SWCFC Fantasy Premier League Competition with his team "Florian Sqw1rtz" taking the lead early in the season and ultimately beating his nearest rival Joe Cole "Joe C's Giants" by a whopping 286 points.

Lisa Knight was victorious in the SWCFC Fantasy Women's Super League Competition with her team 'The Looney Toones" also taking an early lead and beating Sharon Heinrich's "Do you like your pasta Caldentay?" by an impressive 97 points.

Well done to both Henry and Lisa - enjoy basking in your victories!

We should also mention that the competition raised huge £453.75 for our fundraising with all profits going to the refurbishment.

🏆⚽ U9s Celebrate a Fantastic Season at Catons Lane! ⚽🏆

What a brilliant evening last night for our U9 players at their end of season awards ceremony, kindly hosted tonight at Catons Lane courtesy of Saffron Walden Town FC 🙌

Every player received a trophy in recognition of their hard work, commitment and fantastic development across the season — and what a season it has been! 🌟

The boys were proudly pictured together in the main stand, showing off their well-earned trophies with huge smiles after another memorable year of football, friendship and fun. From training sessions to matchdays, the progress made by the whole group has been fantastic to see, with confidence, teamwork and love for the game growing week by week ⚽👏

A huge thank you to all of our incredible volunteer coaches for the time, energy and enthusiasm they give throughout the season. Special thanks also go to age group lead coach Alex Winstanley for his leadership and dedication to helping the boys develop both on and off the pitch 👏🔴⚫️

Well done boys — enjoy your summer and we can’t wait to see you back next season! 🔴⚫️⚽️
