Not a fan and never will be.

To lose fat you need to be in a calorie deficit. You can do this how you like. There is no wrong or right way. Everyone is individual. Don't restrict, ensure it's sustainable for that short period of time before going back to your normal maintenance calories.

Maintain a healthy relationship with food. It's there to fuel you.

I can't believe my time at puregym has come to an end.🥲

This past year and a bit has been incredible. First time going self employed and running my own business.

I feel so fortunate as a coach to have worked with the most amazing clients - seeing them grow and achieve big things makes me so happy.

Thanks to everyone who's been a part of my incredible time time at puregym. It's been such a blast and I feel so fortunate to have met the people I have.

Here's to the next chapter!!!!

Me and Lew are building our own gym!!

Introducing...IGNYT FITNESS💪💪

This is something we've dreamed of doing for a long time and it's finally becoming a reality.

We can't wait to transform this space into a fitness facility where people achieve BIG things through small group personal training.

New programme in full swing this week.

I'll usually follow a programme for quite some time, I would say 12-14 or so weeks but everyone is different. Prefer not to change things up too quickly and instead get really strong at my programmed movements.

I'll typically change my programme when I start to plateau and stall in progress.

For the first three weeks I like to leave 3 then 2 then 1 rep in reserve, but on my third/fourth week and I'll start training to failure. This is what I like to program my own clients too.
Easing yourself into a programme is a good idea, especially when you've just finished a programme thats left you pretty knackered from hitting some hefty weights.

You can't look at someone and decide how healthy they are based on their bodyweight.

You might look at someone super lean and think wow thats a good look.

But what if they under-eat most days, exercise to burn calories, smoke a lot, only get 5 hours of sleep a night, stress levels are high from work, and don't socialise because it gives them anxiety. That's not healthy.

Of course it's important to maintain a healthy weight that makes you feel confident and happy. But remember that smaller and leaner does not mean healthier or make you more worthy.

There are lots of other factors that contribute to someone's health that has nothing to do with bodyweight.

I remember being a kid & hated going to bed. I look back now and I'm like are you kidding me??😂😂

I have a lot more appreciation for sleep, esp working in the fitness industry, late evenings & early starts.

7-9 hrs is always the aim. I'll be a nicer person for it.🙃🙃
