Ronan Keating said it so it must be true 😅

No seriously, it is a rollercoaster.

Full of ups, downs, twists and turns.

Would you get off a rollercoaster half way round because you didn’t like the drop?

I’m pretty sure you wouldn’t!

But when it comes to our lives. The first thing to go when things are a bit tough.

Our own health. Our own goals.

Whether that’s stopping the gym, giving up on a sport, a career even.

You’ve got to learn to manage and ride out the drops because the odds are you’re going to be extending that drop if you don’t!

You are always a priority and no matter what life is throwing at you and let’s be honest as a parent it’s usually more than one thing at a time;

Kids poorly, lack of childcare, work overload, low energy, are just a few reoccurring ones, never mind the unexpected ones too!

Take it from someone who has jumped off the rollercoaster a few times.

The fall is much worse than riding it out and taking action to start climbing again!

NO CHILDREN WERE HARMED IN THE MAKING OF THIS TRANSFORMATION!

Calling all parents!!

You CAN work on your health and fitness WITHOUT sacrificing family time!

Charlotte right here is living proof of that.

In just 4 months Charlotte's progress is inspirational.

We started this journey just 2 months after having baby Isaac.

You can already see the physical changes in Charlotte but more importantly it's the changes you can't see.

👏 Improved energy levels
👏 Confidence on the rise!
👏 Loving exercising!
👏 Strength at an all time high!

Guess what?

The scales haven't moved!!

Charlotte, as she is fairly new to the gym and this type of structure and routine, has built muscle and is well on her way to the toned body she wants.

Charlotte is a very proud mum and isn't aiming to "lose the mum tum" she is just wanting to be as strong and healthy as possible whilst inspiring her children.

Charlotte wants to feel comfortable in her own skin and in any outfit she wears, and after just 4 months she is well on her way to doing just that!

How have we got to this point?

🔥 Exercised consistently 4-5 times per week.

🔥 Tracked her calories, learning about nutrition and building her relationship with food along the way.

🔥 Prioritised protein. No protein doesn't make you bulky!

🔥 Nailed the basics daily - Water, steps, sleep.

Listened to me (she asked me to put that HAHA!)

All this was achieved WITHOUT

❌ Sacrificing time with her children
❌ Endless amounts of cardio
❌ Taking out food groups
❌ Calling food a sin
❌ Crazy low calories
❌ Making different meals for everyone in the house

35cm LOST in just 2 MONTHS!

Yes you read that right.

THIRTY FIVE cm's.

That is testament to commitment to changing her life.

This is of course a progress post. We are still working on Leanne's complete transformation, it takes time, we have our 6 month goals set.

However, having gone through her check in this week I just had to share her progress with you.

Leanne is a very busy mum and when we had our first video call, Leanne told me she felt lost, unhealthy physically and her mental health was suffering too.

Leanne felt uncomfortable in her clothes, and her posture was pretty poor. You will notice this on her 'before' pictures.

The first 28 days of Leanne's program we spent building bulletproof habits.

Those habits, to no surprise have now stuck with her.

We began with some simple bodyweight workouts at home and have most recently stepped up these workouts to now include kettlebells and dumbbells.

Who knows, maybe the gym is insight this year!

Leanne hasn't been on keto, she hasn't had food groups taken out, she hasn't been told "you can't have that".

With Leanne's nutrition and with yours BALANCE is important.

When you have a family, you want to be able to sit down and eat with them, not eating out of plastic tubs making different meals for everyone!

In just 2 short months, Leanne has already started to see changes in her body and her mind.

She has some clothes fitting her that haven't for a while, she managed to control an anxiety attack in public, she enjoys her exercise and her walks with her little boy and her confidence is on the rise!

Over the last week I’ve spoken about journaling and the benefits of doing so.

Self reflection is also part of journaling.

And one that can change your life!

Looking back over your week, you simply note down, what went well, what needs improvement, what action you will take to make those improvements, and create a goal for that week.

Is GROWTH that important?

Isn’t it ok to stay in the same lane and casually truck along?

Well, I, for one, don’t think so.

I feel that unless you are moving forward and growing in some way physically and or mentally, you will slow to a stop and become extraordinarily bored and probably eventually unhappy with your current position.

Maybe that has already happened?

The most basic version of this is seen daily in a gym environment.
The people who get a coach set out a plan, have specific goals, set their programme up so they continue to change, develop and grow, are the ones that achieve the goal they set out initially.

Consistency is key.

And the people who don’t, the ones who have no clue what’s happening from one day to the next, going without structure or plan, end up achieving very little, and without that growth, they get bored and stop.

Sound familiar?

Ask any of my client’s achievement breeds motivation. Something like moving from push- ups on your knees to doing full push-ups on your toes is a huge milestone, and for a lot of people, it drives them on even more. Something so simple can change someone’s whole mindset.

Growing in other ways can be a little more complicated.

It could be pushing yourself into a better position within work, having a family, finding a new circle of friends, a new partner or doing more with your current partner (keep it clean, haha).
It could be as simple as reading books instead of watching big brother on tv.

In every aspect of your life, you can continually grow and develop.

Will it take work?

Of course, everything does, but it is very much worth it in the end.

Once we have a solid plan to improve their health and fitness, we always tell our clients to first focus on the basics.

And a massive part of this is making sure they switch off from outside distractions.

• Put down the magazines
• Stop watching the TV shows
• Don’t get caught up in the latest fad diet.

And, stick to the plan!

When getting into shape, you need to have a plan, be focused and willing to put in the work.

Listening to different people, and getting distracted will only slow down your progress.

• Trust in the plan I have set you

• Trust in the process I have used with hundreds of other clients just like you

• Trust that it will work for you and get you fit, healthy and into shape.

Put your trust in me as your coach, trust my tried and tested system that has yielded impressive results for hundreds of clients who have worked with me.

And, most of all, enjoy the journey!
