SUPing IOW has come about as a result of myself, Rob Chuter, deciding to take-up some new challenges for 2017, a bit of a bucket list really as I'm well in my senior years. It's definitely worth the effort and for me now an addictive watersport taking priority over kayaking, and as a BCU kayak coach I think that say's a lot for this great fun, physically demanding, sensory overloading, adrenaline
j***y sport which started off back in March with core strenght training, and plenty of balance board and strapline practice in preparation for a May start with delivery of a Red Paddle 10.7 WINDSURF sup board, which with a windsurf sail takes me to the next challenge on the bucket list together with Kitesurfing, plus gaining a BSUPA instructor qualification in October. Now to introduce the co-founder of SUPing IOW and my personal trainer, and a friend, Jack Wylds. Jack started kayaking with me some 6yrs ago aged 13, rapidly progressing his skills and gaining a BCU kayak coach qualification at 16yrs old. Following through with his watersports interest he took it to the next level via an IOW College course delivered by UKSA at Cowes training to become a watersports instructor. Successfully completing his Level 1 instructor certification Jack is currently employment at UKSA as a watersports instructor. Who say's a 19yr old can't tell someone many, many years older than himself how to suck eggs! Come and join us whether you're just a young beginner or looking to excite ones senior years, SUPing IOW is here for all!.. and looks forward to your involvement in just participating or becoming involved in helping develop and organise group activities.
