I wish more people knew that gyms are not places where you lose weight

And that burning calories isn’t even in the top 10 markers for a good workout

And that dieting and exercise are 2 separate things. You can have one without the other. Although eating well and exercising is never a bad idea

I wish more people realised that every single one of us will have to make time for our health. Whether that time is spent proactively through taking care through exercise, eating well and spending time managing stress or reactively through medication, rehab, Physio’s - your choices over a period of time will either pay off or need to be repaid.

I wish less people reduced training down to something we do to look a certain way.

I wish that more parents made exercising and being coached as big a priority for them as they make it for their kids - because kids LOVE us working on ourselves

Do forward rolls

Play hide and seek, Tag, and bulldogs

Carry your sleepy kids to bed, and do it for as many years as they’ll let you

Because one of the biggest regrets I’ve heard in my 15 years as a trainer come from people who have to say no to physical experiences and activities that they used to say yes to
