Big well done to everyone who turned up for Murph today 👏

You’ll see from the videos that not everyone did the same version — and that’s the point. Some wore vests, some scaled the reps, some adapted movements, and some just focused on getting through it steadily.

Not every workout needs to leave you flat on the floor to be worthwhile.

Some people chase the feeling of being smashed every session. But for us at Tigerlily, training is about more than that. It’s about building strength, fitness and resilience that actually improves your life outside the gym too.

To move better.
Feel better.
Stay capable for longer.
And keep doing the things you enjoy for years to come.

Yes, Murph is tough. Yes, it’s sweaty. But the bigger picture is training for the future — not just surviving one hard workout.

Proud of everyone that showed up today

Big effort from everyone who took on today’s RAD Acid Test. 🥵

10 shuttle runs, 50 wall balls, more shuttle runs, then straight into a nasty ski finish… simple on paper, horrible in reality and may have claimed a few souls 🤣

Awesome seeing everyone digging in and pushing through it together. Credit to for coming up with such a spicy little test.

That’s the best part of training in a group though — you always end up doing more than you thought you could. If you’ve been thinking about giving CrossFit a go, this is your sign.

Murph is more than just a workout.

Every year on Memorial Day, CrossFit gyms around the world take on “Murph” to honour Lt. Michael P. Murphy and all those who made the ultimate sacrifice in service.

For many, it’s about remembering military personnel.
But memorial means something different to all of us.

For some, it’s friends.
For others, family members.
People we’ve lost. People we miss. People who shaped us.

That’s why we do it.

Not because we have to complete it RX’d.
Not because it’s about proving how fit we are.
But because shared hardship brings people together, and for one hour we all move with purpose.

The workout itself is simple:

1 Mile Run
100 Pull-Ups
200 Push-Ups
300 Squats
1 Mile Run

It’s tough. It’s meant to be.
But it’s also fully scalable and adaptable for every ability level.

Some people will do the full workout.
Some will partner up.
Some will scale the movements.
And some will simply turn up and be part of the atmosphere and community that makes days like this special.

That’s the bigger picture.

Murph has always been one of those workouts where the gym feels different. Everyone works together, encourages each other, and gets behind one another from start to finish.

No ego. No pressure. Just people coming together for something bigger than themselves.

So whether you’re a member, an ex-member, someone who’s never stepped into a CrossFit gym before, or just want to come and be part of it — you’re welcome.

ÂŁ5 drop-in for non-members.
Members bring a friend.

Show up. Work hard. Honour the fallen.

Busy classes today… which can only mean one thing… conditioning day 😅

These are the kind of workouts that look fine on paper… then absolutely ruin you in real life.

Honestly, just holding Option B together is a graft — no need to get carried away chasing Option A unless you’re really feeling it. This is one of those “stay in control, don’t blow up” kinda sessions.

At Tigerlily we’re big on ticking all the boxes with training — not just strength, not just skills… but proper conditioning that actually transfers.

Give it a go, pace it right, and embrace the suck a little 👊

Starting something new doesn’t have to mean going all in straight away.

That’s exactly why we created our 6 Week Kickstart.

It’s a simple way to build consistency without the pressure of contracts or long-term commitments.

You’ll get:
• 2 coached sessions a week
• Guidance on your nutrition
• A clear structure to help you build better habits

No guesswork. No overwhelm. Just a solid starting point.

Train a couple of times a week, focus on the basics, and let it build from there.

If you’ve not trained in a while, or you just need a reset… this is for you.

Drop us a message if you want to get started 👊🏽

Scaling doesn’t mean making the movement easier…
it means keeping the stimulus and mechanics of the movement the same.

Today’s EMOM had bar muscle ups programmed.

Instead of defaulting straight to bands, we used uprises — feet on a box, extending the hips and finishing over the bar. It keeps the movement pattern the same and lets people learn the timing and strength needed for the full skill.

Personally, I’m not a big fan of bands for gymnastics movements. They tend to help you most in the part of the movement where you actually need to develop the strength.

You end up moving through the rep… but not always learning the rep.

It’s the same idea with things like using ab mats for handstand push-ups. Rather than shortening the range of motion or relying on assistance, we prefer scaling that keeps the full movement pattern intact.

This approach might not always be the quickest way to get a rep on the board… but it’s the best way to build the strength and skill to own the movement properly.

That’s how we coach at Tigerlily.

Progress over pace. Always.

Open Workout 26.2

Everyone was awesome.
Loads of people got further than they thought they would just by pushing themselves a little bit more. 👊🏽💪🏼

Most of the year we train inside our comfort zone, sticking to the movements we know we can do well.

That’s why the Open is great… it gives you a reason to test yourself and have a crack at the slightly harder stuff.

Sometimes you surprise yourself.
Sometimes you just learn what’s next to work on.

Either way — that’s progress.

Great effort from everyone who took it on today. 👊🏽💪🏼

A day off as a gym owner…

Time-lapse of me cleaning, checking and maintaining the machines.

Not the glamorous side of running a gym, but it matters.

If people are trusting us with their training, the least we can do is make sure the equipment they’re using is looked after properly.

Rowers checked. Bikes serviced. Ski ergs wiped down. Everything ready for the next session.

You can take the man out of the military…
but you can’t take the military standards out of the man.
