Rushden Swimming Club

Rushden Swimming Club RSC is an all-encompassing, friendly family orientated club catering for swimmers of all abilities We are actively looking for new or returning swimmers.

We run lessons and competitive training for children and adults with some of the most experienced and respected coaches and instructors in the area. For further information please email [email protected] or visit us at training on Mondays from 7:00pm.

What a weekend at the British Masters Championships! 🏊‍♂️🙌

Three of our swimmers headed up to Aberdeen at the weekend, to represent RSC – Claire Lera, Max Balderson and of course, Coach Ross – and they absolutely did us proud!

Claire had an incredible weekend, bringing home:
🥉 Bronze in the Women’s 40–44 100m Breaststroke
🥈 Silver in the Women’s 40–44 200m IM
🥇 Gold in the 200m Breaststroke
🥉 Bronze in the 50m Freestyle

What an inspiration she is to our swimmers – amazing effort across the board! We are all so pleased for you!

Max also had a brilliant competition, improving on his regionals time in the 100m Freestyle and securing a fantastic:
🥉 Bronze in the Men’s 18–24 50m Breaststroke

Finally, Ross showed great form too, achieving a season best in the 100m Breaststroke and improving his regionals time by 0.5 seconds in the 50m Breaststroke – finishing 4th in both events!

We’re so proud of all three of you – what a fantastic achievement representing the club at this level 🙌🙌🙌

2026 British Masters Swimming Championships

From Friday 12th June through to Sunday 14th, swimmers will be taking over the pool at the Aberdeen Sports Village.

Representing Team RSC this year will be
Max Balderson in the 50m Breaststroke and 100m Freestyle

Claire Lera in the 50m Freestyle, all 3 distances in the Breaststroke and hoping to top the podium in the 200m Medley

Ross Balderson, yes folks, our very own Head Coach is back behind the blocks for the 50 and 100m Breaststroke.

Join us in cheering on and supporting them as they head North and cross the border as they compete

Join us at our annual presentation day:

Tickets cost £10 for a family (up to 5 people) plus £3 per additional ticket

As well as celebrating achievements as a club and awarding our swimmers, we will have music, a food truck and a bouncy castle for our younger guests.

We will also be holding a raffle and would appreciate any donations for prizes, so please spread the word to any local businesses that may also be able to support us.

We can't wait to see you there - it promises to be a great end to a fantastic season!

Huge congratulations to Isabelle Pawlowski and Elisa Giraud, who represented Rushden Swimming Club at the Regional Development Pathway Camp last weekend 👏

Their selection is a fantastic achievement and reflects their brilliant performances in the 200IM at regional level, placing them among the top swimmers in their age groups.

We’re incredibly proud of both of you – a testament to all the hard work and dedication you’ve shown in and out of training 🖤💛
