Summer’s in full swing, and it’s the perfect time to hit the water! Join us for Members and Family Open Sailing on Saturday 19th July from 12:00 at Runswick Bay Beach and Sailing Club.

This is a relaxed, family-friendly sailing day – a great opportunity to build confidence, enjoy the bay, and spend time with fellow members. Whether you’re new to sailing or a seasoned crew, come along and get involved!

🏁 Dart 18 Regatta Results Are In! 🏁
🌊 Runswick Bay Beach and Sailing Club Regatta 2025 🌊
🗓️ Final Results as of June 24, 2025

A huge congratulations to all competitors who took part in this year's Dart 18 event at Runswick Bay! With 16 entries and 3 races sailed, it was a fantastic weekend of close competition and great sailing spirit.

Overall Results:

🥇 1st Place – Mat Finish (RYYC)
👨‍✈️ Helm: Mat Exon
An outstanding clean sweep with 1st place in all three races – pure consistency and class!

🥈 2nd Place – Kev Porter (RYYC)
Solid sailing with back-to-back 2nd places in R2 and R3 secured him the silver.

🥉 3rd Place – Fluid (RYYC)
Helm: Joe Franks | Crew: Kieran Franks
Team Franks showed excellent teamwork to claim a well-earned podium finish.

Club Trophy Result:
🥇 1st Place Runswick Boat – Falcon Performance (RBBSC)
👨‍✈️ Helm: Ben Willis | Crew: James Willis
Consistent effort with the youngest crew (10), despite not competing in the last race took 5th overall and first club boat

👏 Shout out to all who competed, especially RYYC and RBBSC sailors for a strong showing across the board. Great sportsmanship, great sailing, and great memories!

🌊⛵ Regatta Weekend 21-22 June - Sailing, Camping & More! ⛵🌊

Get ready for a fantastic weekend on the water and at the club this coming weekend! Here’s what’s happening:

🕛 Racing:
Racing kicks off at 12 noon on both Saturday and Sunday with 3 back-to-back races each day. We’re thrilled to be welcoming visiting boats from Bridlington RYC!

🙏 Safety boat help needed! If you’re available to crew either day, please reply to this post or the club email.

⛺ Camping:
We’ve secured the camping field at the top of the bank — it’s open from Friday afternoon and just £10 per night. A portaloo will be on-site, with full facilities available at the club.
Camping is open to all club members and their families — whether you’re racing or not. So grab your tent or campervan and join the fun weekend vibes! 🚐🔥

☕ Refreshments:
The bar is open Friday evening from 5.00pm and both days with all the usual drinks and snacks — plus croissants and flapjacks for those morning cravings.

🍽️ For evening meals, tables can be booked at The Runswick Bay Hotel

It’s set to be a brilliant weekend — come for the racing, stay for the company! 🥂⛵
