Runcorn Golf Club [email protected] Runcorn Golf Club was established in 1909 as a 9-hole course on heath land.

The course continued as 9 holes until the early 1970's when it was extended to 18 holes, this being completed in 1977. The course, which is situated on the highest part of Runcorn, is a mature tree-lined parkland course, with easy walking with views over the Mersey and Weaver Valleys. The course has superb greens that will test the best of putting skills. The Golf Club caters for all types of memb

ers, including Social Membership. There is a full competition calendar and we host open events. Visitors and societies are met with a warm welcome and can enjoy good facilities, a superb dining room with high quality meals.

Good news from our Juniors playing in the Junior Open Comp at Bidston Golf Club.

Bobby Shearer won the overall competition with a fantastic 41 points, Jack Moremon came 2nd with 38 points and Daniel Swain came 6th.

In addition Bobby won the Longest Drive at 311m and both Daniel and Jack got 2's.

Not too shabby for an afternoon of golf!

Congratulations to the Women’s Percival Team who played Warrington today at home and won 2-1.

It’s a pairs comp, alternate shots and with six in a team. Winning this knockout takes them to Vale Royal Abbey to play their next round - good luck 🤞

Runcorn’s Shield Team played their division away match against Heswall’s Ladies Team on Monday. All enjoyed the course and the company, Heswall were great hosts - thank you 😊. Runcorn came second to the home team, 5-2 to Heswall.

To those who contribute in every way, be it helping on the course, to our Board and Committee Members, to those who collect rubbish and litter pick, tidy the cleaning station, water the plants, potter around the club house, it’s endless!

Whatever it may be we wouldn’t be the club we are if it wasn’t for you.
