Match result: Fountain Untied FC 3 - 3 AFC Lichfield

It’s never a dull game against our locals!🔥

AFC Lichfield shared the points with Fountain United FC following a 3–3 draw.

Brad O’Neil opened the scoring with a perfectly struck volley from just outside the box. He added his second with 15 minutes left on the clock when the ball came back off the crossbar and fell to him, allowing him to finish from close range.🚀

Alex Cole scored Lichfield’s third within the last 5 minutes after a scramble for the ball just inside the box, finding the space to get a shot away ⚽️

The match also saw Nick P sent off after receiving a second yellow card. A Fountain United player was also dismissed during the same incident after being shown a straight red card.

Both teams continued to compete until the final whistle, but neither could find a winning goal, leaving the score 3–3.

We move onto next weekend as we are home to Stonydelph Old Boys in the Ellison Rose Bowl Cup.

Match result: Gillway 3 - 0 AFC Lichfield

Sunday was a difficult game for us losing 3-0 in our opener at the start of the season. Few injuries seen us down to 10 men parts of the game.

But we’re looking to bounce back on the weekend away against the Fountain FC.

On Sunday morning a team of colleagues from Chase Leisure Centre + Rugeley Leisure Centre took on a football match against our AFC Lichfield team to raise money for the Matt Hampson Foundation 💙

Sunday was all about everyone enjoying the day and playing some football. Everyone Active colleagues managed to clinch onto a great result, scoring in the last minute to make it 2-1 in the dying seconds of the game, Congratulations to them it was a great day🎉🙏

The Matt Hampson Foundation supports young people who have suffered life-changing injuries through sport, providing the practical, emotional and financial support they need to rebuild their lives and live them to the fullest.

All of our subs from the day will be donated towards the Matt Hampson Foundation!

We’re proud to play our part in supporting such an incredible cause. ❤️

We’re delighted to announce that AFC Lichfield will be taking part in a special charity match on Sunday 16th August, with an 11:00am kick-off for the Matt Hampson Foundation.

Since the 1st August, Everyone Active has officially launched its new charity partnership with the Matt Hampson Foundation, with the aim of raising an incredible £50,000 over the next 12 months to help fund the Foundation’s life-changing work.

The Matt Hampson Foundation supports young people who have suffered life-changing injuries through sport, providing the practical, emotional and financial support they need to rebuild their lives and live them to the fullest.

We’re proud to play our part in supporting such an incredible cause. ❤️

We’d love to see as many people as possible come along, support the teams and help us raise money for this fantastic charity.
