Evening folks. Firstly and as always thanks to everyone that joined us for our game day last Sunday - Ground Zero.
Apologies for the lateness of the game score post and game day pictures this week, its been a busy old week and I'm playing a bit of catch up this weekend.
So then, onto the scores for Sundays games.
Our 2 hour themed morning game Ground Zero was scored as follows :
π₯ Objective 1 : Teams needed to secure and control the scene of the chemical outbreak - Ground Zero - for as much of the game as possible. Every 15 mins from game on until endex the team that had control of Ground Zero (team flag raised at the center of the zone) would be awarded a chemical canister for their team lockbox located at this zone.
π΅ Blues : 3x Canisters collected : 30 Points
π΄ Reds : 4x Canisters collected : 40 Points
π₯ Objective 2 : As well as Ground Zero, the location of the outbreak, teams also needed to find and secure the source of the chemical canisters used in the attack - The Chemical Lab - and using their teams chemical sample case, collect 3 vital samples before endex to add to their case. Every 15 mins a team hold the Chemical Lab (unbroken) they successfully harvest a chemical sample to add to their case. Unlike Ground zero, these are not awarded every 15 mins to the team in control, but instead can be awarded at any time during the game when a 15 min continuous control is scored.
π΅ Blues : All 3 samples collected : 45 Points
π΄ Reds : All 3 samples collected : 45 Points
π₯ Objective 3 : There was a initial recon team sent into investigate the outbreak prior to the teams arrival, but this team is now MIA. Scattered around the site are sets of yellow dog tags representing the fallen recon team members. If teams can find their tags, they can take them to the teams crashed plane, and trade them for a box of experimental bio weapon ammo. Teams need to get those ammo cases to their teams lockbox at Ground Zero before endex to be scored.
π΅ Blues : 1x Case of Bio-Ammo recovered : 20 Points
π΄ Reds : 1x Case of Bio-Ammo recovered : 20 Points
π₯ Objective 4 : The 3 lead scientists involved in the production of the chemical weapons managed to escape the Chemical Lab after the outbreak, but have since gone missing. Their bodies are somewhere on site, and each body has 2x ID Cards (1x Red and 1x Blue). Teams need to locate the missing scientists, and recover their team colour ID card from each scientist, and return it to their team lockbox at Ground Zero before endex.
π΅ Blues : 2x Scientist ID Cards recovered : 40 Points
π΄ Reds : 1x Scientist ID Card recovered : 20 Points
Ground Zero final scores :
π΅ Blues : 135 Points
π΄ Reds : 125 Points
π¦ Blues win Ground Zero, well done Blues!
Afternoon Game 1 - Capture the Flag
π₯ For this game there are 5 control points, each with a Red and Blue changeable flag in situ waiting to be raised.
Both teams need to push and try and capture as many locations as they can and raise their flag at each zone. Once a zone is captured, defending it is also important to try and stop the other team coming in and scoring points by switching the flag to their teams colour, but this game relies more on teams continuing to push contested or enemy controlled zones, as teams only score a point each time they raise their team flag at a zone controlled by the enemy team.
π΅ Blues : 8x flag captures
π΄ Reds : 8x flag captures
πͺ Draw! Well done both teams!
Afternoon Game 2 - Defend the Bomb (Depot)
π₯ For this game teams take it in turns to attack and defend a set location, in this instance Depot where there is a detonator located somewhere in the zone, rigged to a pyro blast.
Defenders have limited lives and need to hold off the attackers as long as possible. Attackers have unlimited lives and need to keep pressure on the defenders while they reduce their numbers enough to get into the zone, find the detonator button and set off the blast as quickly as possible.
Attack Times :
π΄ Reds 1 : 6:12 secs
π΅ Blues 1 : Void
π΄ Reds 2 : 5:36 secs
π΅ Blues 2 : 5:08 secs
π¦ Fastest Time : Blues, well done Blues.
I think its fair to say the games were about as close as it gets in terms of balance and points, but by a whisker Blues took the day.
The morning game couldn't have been closer, and the first afternoon game was a draw, so well done both teams, really nicely played folks π.
We are a bit behind this week so game pics will be out in the next 48 hrs, your patience is appreciated folks, thank you.
Our next game day isn't far now, Sunday 13th September so we hope to see you all again for that one.
Until next time folks.
