Firstly and as always a big thanks to all of you that joined us on Sunday for our game day - Chain Reaction.
I have to admit, that was a pretty interesting turn out... over 270 of you guys joined us for this one, which even though we are used to running big numbers, for us was quite the turnout! In fact for a standard walk-on game day it actually gave us a new site record which which was a nice surprise.
The site took it well though, and being the size it is, it wasn't long before we had players spread across the 50-60 acres creating some amazing battles all over the site. Overwatch Hill, Comms, Signpost Hill and Landy all saw some really big skirmishes, and I have to say the game play and sportsmanship on the whole was on point, so thanks folks, you all really impressed us.
I also think its fair to say that the addition of Steve's Super Whip Midlands during the afternoon was a big hit during this warmer weather too... and don't worry, Steve will be returning for all our games this summer before you ask 😄.
Right then, onto the scores for Sunday...
Our 2 hour themed morning game Chain Reaction was scored as follows :
💥 Objective 1 : Teams needed to locate and secure the hidden Chemical Weapons Lab located in the jungle area and hold it for as much of the game as possible whilst its stripped of valuable data. The zone is scored every 10 mins from game on until endex for the team that has control of it.
In addition teams can score bonus points for holding the base for 30 consecutive minutes, for which they can activate the detonator and blow one of the main chemical tanks.
🔵 Blues : Lab held for 12x scored times : 120 Points
🔴 Reds : Lab held for 0x scored times : 0 Points
🔵 Blues 3x Bonus Chemical Tank det's : 30 Points
💥 Objective 2 : There are 4 unstable chemical weapon stockpiles around the site that have been rigged to blow. Once a large firefight occurs around one of these stockpiles this will trigger the 15 min det timer. A marshal at the location will raise the orange flag to signal the 15 min timer has started.
Teams need to fight to control that stockpile bomb, and the team that has control of the stockpile at the end of the 15 min timer can detonate the stockpile and claim the points.
🔵 Blues : 2x Stockpiles destroyed : 40 Points
🔴 Reds : 2x Stockpiles destroyed : 40 Points
💥 Objective 3 : Once a chemical weapon stockpile is destroyed 2x chemical sample canisters are recovered from the detonation to the team that occupies that zone. Players that recover these samples need to transport them to the Chemical Weapon Lab, and hand them to the marshal there before endex to score the successful sample retrieval.
However, once these samples are recovered and in play they are a 'lootable item', and players carrying them if killed must place the samples on the floor, at which point they can be recovered by any alive player from either team to compete their recovery.
🔵 Blues : 6x Samples recovered : 60 Points
🔴 Reds : 0x Samples recovered : 0 Points
💥 Bonus Objective : There are 20 missing experimental Chem-Pack syringes missing from the lab and hidden somewhere on site. Players need to look for and recover these syringes.
Attached to each syringe is a yellow and black armband. If a player finds a syringe they can 'take' the experimental chem-pack which effectively boosts their resilience for the remainder of the game. They take the chem-pack by placing the attached yellow armband on, and until endex that player can now 'bleed-out' in half the normal bleed-out time, and also respawn from a medic is half the normal respawn countdown time.
Used syringes can be handed to any marshal once recovered, and a rolling tally of how many each team recovers is kept.
🔵 Blues : 10x Chem-Pack Syringes recovered : 100 Points
🔴 Reds : 7x Chem-Pack Syringes recovered : 70 Points
Final scores :
🔵 Blues : 320 Points
🔴 Reds : 110 Points
🟦 Blues win Chain Reaction, well done Blues!
Afternoon Game 1 - Domination
💥 5x Control Zones have been designated on site, each with a Red/Blue flag system. Teams must fight to control as many of the control zones as possible and for as long as possible. Whilst their colour flag is raised at a control zone, their team colour stop watch is running from the marshal at that location. If they lose a location to the enemy team, their stop watch is paused, and the other teams stopwatch is started (and vice versa). 1 min of control at a location equals 1 point for scoring.

Afternoon Game 2 - Parasite
Each player on each team starts the game with a green armband on in addition to they team colour bands. This green armband signifies their 'parasite'.
The objective of the game is for players to try and lose their parasite by transferring it to a dead player on the enemy team, during that dead players 1 min bleed out phase.
Alive players can transfer as many green armbands they have accumulated to any dead player on the enemy team during their bleed out phase, if they can get to that dead player, and transfer them over before the players bleed out timer ends, or they themselves are killed.
Essentially players who have accumulated numerous bands need to desperately hunt and eliminate enemy players or find already dead enemy players as fast as possible to get rid of their bands. Players who have managed to get rid of their bands need to try and stay alive and keep away from enemy players carrying bands who will try and offload theirs on that player.
The winning team is the team with the least overall parasite bands at endex.
🔵 Blues : 68 Parasites remaining
🔴 Reds : 45 Parasites remaining
🟥 Reds win Parasite, well done Reds!
Well, its fair to say Blues took the morning game Chain Reaction with a decisive victory, keeping hold of the Chemical Lab all morning despite the Blues constant pressure, and therefore racking up those points really fast. Reds came back strong in the afternoon though, winning both afternoon games, so well done both teams, really nicely played 👌.
Thanks again for joining us for this one folks, and as always thanks for all your feedback and kind words on the day, its always appreciated.
Game pics will be out in the next couple of days so keep your eyes peeled for those, and our next game day is Sunday 14th June, so we hope you can join us for that one.
Until next time folks.
