🧠 MENTAL HEALTH 🧠
It’s at the very core of everything we do at Manifest.
It didn’t start that way, as you’d probably expect. But over the last 4 years or so, it still amazes me how much this sport — and this little gym — has helped so many people find purpose, direction and a place where they belong.
We are tribal beings.
Yet the modern world has taken so much of that away from us.
We’d rather sit in front of the TV or computer than get out and socialise. And for men especially, it can sometimes feel like the only “normal” way to socialise involves alcohol.
Trust me… it doesn’t.
At Manifest, we meet up every day.
We hug each other.
We laugh.
We joke.
We talk.
We open up.
We spar.
And when someone catches us, we’re genuinely happy for our friend’s success — and it gives us the drive to get them back next time. 😂
That might sound simple, but community matters.
Having people around you who know when you’re struggling.
People who notice when you’re not yourself.
People who will listen without judgement.
Life can be f*cking tough.
But whatever you’re going through right now, please don’t face it alone.
A bad day isn’t a bad life. A bad chapter isn’t the end of the story.
Things can get better. Things can change.
Whether it’s Manifest, another BJJ gym, a football team, a running club, a martial art, or something completely different…
Go join a team.
Go find a community.
Go find likeminded people who want to better themselves every day.
Find somewhere you can belong.
And above all else…
DON’T STOP.
Keep going.
Keep showing up.
Keep talking.
❤️🥋
You matter.
