I’ve had the privilege of working with Alice for the past year, and what an incredible journey it has been. When we began, Alice faced a challenging start with recurring injuries, poor strength and the demands of work & training. Yet her commitment to growth never wavered.
Over the months we worked on the periodised strength and conditioning plan I designed. I made sure it was simple but tailored to her needs and level. It was crucial it supported her triathlon disciplines while respecting the realities of her training, work & life.
The plan evolved as she did, always prioritising sustainability, form, and gradual progression.
There were many ups and downs along the way. PB’s, sad faces, smiley faces, soreness, minor setbacks, and moments of doubt!
But Alice showed up consistently, trusted the process, and kept her eyes on the start line. Her resilience, discipline, and unwavering determination carried her through every strength, swim, bike & run session.
Two weeks ago Alice crossed the finish line at Ironman Copenhagen. Crossing that finishing line represents perseverance, courage, and the power of consistent effort.
It’s a testament to what happens when you commit to steady progress, adapt to challenges, and show up for yourself day after day.
Alice, you’ve inspired not just me, but everyone who follows your journey. Your story reminds me that progress doesn’t have to be flashy to be life changing. It’s built on small, intentional steps taken with grit and heart.
To anyone reading this, if you’re facing obstacles, know that with a plan, support, and determination, you can move through them one workout, one week, one setback at a time. And when you reach your own finish line, you’ll look back and realise the journey made you stronger in ways you never imagined.
Congratulations, Alice! Here’s to your next chapter wherever your training and adventures take you next.
