Busy couple of weeks at JC. Whilst J was away coaching Cyprus....C had some exciting news... watch this space...
Cyprus was great, as usual the hospitality from the Cavalier Riding Club was great. It was really nice that the week was so busy and JC would like to thank everyone who came. 😃🙏

JC sport horses had a busy week.... Sawston Riding School 's Cody and Clare Neale 's Draco both jumped great at Barleylands Equestrian Centre (credit to them for the effort in arena prep). Then we had the absolute pleasure of two lovely young horses at French’s Farm. Bren Standen 's impressive 4yo Qudditch, and Kyrsten Halley 's lovely (though at times strong willed 😜) mare Roxy. Can't thank you both enough for trundling over so late in the day. Great week all round. How blessed we are 🙏👌

Exciting week at JC Sporthorses as the next generation get started Rainconen VH jumped well at Addington Manor, and Bren Standens lovely 4yo Quidditch jumping his first small courses. Thank you Bren Simon & Abbie Crippen - Moles Farm CS Showjumpers and Sawston Riding School. Next outing J and C head to Barleylands Equestrian Center on friday all being well. 🤞🙏👌

This weekend JC Sport horses divided forces.... whist J had the privilege of joining Simon & Abbie Crippen - Moles Farm CS Showjumpers at Arena Uk with 5yo Raiconen vh (owned by Sawston Riding School), C was winning the inter counties BD at bury farm with Clare Neale and Jon Goodrick's Don Draco.... individual and team 1st!

On (or obedient to) the aids = influence over way of going
Influence over way of going = influence over behaviour.
What ever stage of training your horse is at, they should be working as correctly as possible on the bit. (Check the FEI definition if you think that means with their noses on their chests. It doesnt). This encourages relaxation and comfort which in turn improves behaviour (most horses will do most things if you can get them to to relax). Your maintenance training should be about these basics, which in some cases means continuing education from the ground, if your horse is too weak or unbalanced to work correctly under saddle for the majority of the session.
You will also save a fortune in physios and saddlers fees.
