I went hunting for a new talking stick and didn’t realise it would be a bit triggering! When the kids were little they always had to bring special sticks home. Specially for stopping and poking puddles or railings or waving around. It used to drive me NUTS! 🤦🏼‍♀️ As soon as a special stick was found, walks took twice as long and had to be brought home and Never Thrown Away. And now I’m purposely bringing my own home! Argh!

In circle, when you’re holding the special talking stick it’s powerful. You are the one being heard. No one can interrupt, offer advice or a counter-story. You have time to share and get your thoughts in order.

Did your kids have a stick collection? Were you more patient about it than I was?!

Hello you lovely lot. Thanks for all the questions over Christmas. Yes, Circle is back for 2025 and I'd love for you to join me.

What is circle?

It's a gathering of women, an intentional coming together.
A space for connection
A space to be seen, to be heard, to be witnessed
A space free of judgement, of competition, of expectation, pressure or noise
A space to breathe, belong and remember the generations of women who have done this before us

What happens in circle?

The format is very simple and very rich. We gather, we calm, we each take a turn to speak and share (or not, as you want). There is no judgement while we hold space for each other. There may be a meditation or a gentle activity, depending on the season. Above all, there is Time and Space for you - so precious in our busy hectic lives.

Where can I join?

I am holding Circle in a beautiful space in central Tunbridge Wells near Hotel du Vin on the dates in the picture. There are limited spots so please contact me asap so you don't miss out. Either send me a DM or comment 'Circle' and I'll get in touch. If these dates don't work but you're still interested, send me your email address and I'll keep you updated.

How much?

The exchange is £20 for a session of up to two hours.

First pick on the allotment! I stripped out all the broad beans because they’d got rust and were looking very sulky, then the Shiraz mange tout got left too long so probably too fat and woody but there might be some ok. Enough peas for a starter for one. Honestly, you need to plant a meadow’s worth to get enough, and the pigeons and slugs have had their tithe. But one glorious choggia beetroot and first pick of technicolour chard which I love. And there’s also the first yellow courgette which didn’t make the photo. How beautiful is veg? 🥰🥰🥰

Happy Mother’s Day to all the mums who’ve had to referee early morning arguments about who gives the card and who gives the chocolates, and had breakfast made for them and then had to clean up the kitchen chaos, and had to find the clean laundry for the nice day out and are generally looking forward to bed time… I see you. You are all superstars. 🌟
