Another strong session in the bank for Field Gun Sport as the crew took on a key progression in training.

This week, we introduced swinging into the routine—focusing on the 1st and 2nd swings, while also stepping things up onto the full-sized track in front of Stansted House.

The commitment and focus on display continue to build a solid foundation as we move closer to the 2026 UK Tour.

Big things are on the horizon for UK Field Gun Academy as we gear up for the 2026 UK Tour. Over the past months, our crew has been working relentlessly behind the scenes, training new crew members to meet the demands of the sport. From mastering the actions of the run to building strength, teamwork and resilience, these new members are already showing the discipline and determination that define field gun at its highest level.

Stay tuned as 2026 is set to be our strongest season yet.

Last Saturday we hosted our first field gun taster session for Bootcamp UK Portsmouth and its surrounding areas. Where they got hands on with the kit, going over walls and across chasms.

This Saturday we are hosting the public field gun taster session from 10am to 1pm. Where you could be part of a sports team, touring up and down the UK, meet new friends and gain skills for life.

Today the crew have been setting up the track at Stansted Park putting the ramps and walls in place and pinning in the tank traps, in preparation for the start of the 2026 season.

Our open day is still on for the 14th March from 1000-1300. So why not come down and have a try at field gun for yourself.

Command field gun is a sport which you can hugely benefit from. It delivers:

- Amazing camaraderie between you and your fellow team members.

We are recruiting for the UK Field Gun Academy for the 2026 UK tour.

Field Gun is a unique combination of strength, agility, teamwork, and precision. Our academy trains individuals to a professional standard, developing physical performance, discipline, and leadership in a demanding but rewarding team environment.

Men and women aged 16+
the determination to build and use functional fitness as part of a close knit team
Strong commitment and a sense of humour
No previous experience required - Full training is provided

What you’ll gain
