Chris came into coaching with the goal of losing body fat and improving his strength ahead of getting married this year.

His major challenge in trying to get into shape alone was that he wasn’t sure where his nutrition needed to be in order to achieve his goals alongside a hit and miss approach to his gym sessions and so the results he wanted, never came.

In 16 weeks of CMP coaching, Chris has lost 26lbs in weight, lost the excess belly fat and completely transformed his body, health, fitness and understanding of what’s needed to achieve and keep high level results.

We love it when a plan comes together 💪

Coach James completed a Photoshoot earlier this year after coming back bloated and heavy after Christmas and a holiday.

We reached the back end of prep and whilst James had made excellent progress the start photo, he actually needed more time to achieve the goal and I wasn’t prepared to take his calories any lower nor his output any higher.

There’s no need to sacrifice physiological functioning just to reach a goal in a timeframe that realistically was too short.

So after the shoot, we backed off with a reverse diet and James’s calories were built to a spot where his starting position would be better to achieve even better results 👊

For this prep, I also implemented a few different strategies 👇

- a diet phase with regular refeeds
- a volume steal approach program to bias a little more upper body, even on lower days.

And here we are.

A whopping 58lbs lost throughout this year

and regular refeeds at 300-400g of carbs have kept James ticking over nicely whilst maintaining training performance and stripping body fat.

By far the best physique he’s had to date, and 100% ready to smash his photoshoot from which we’ll have enough time to coast into the process rather than frantically change all the variables to try and force a result.

📉🔥 Can You Lose Body Fat & Build Muscle at the Same Time!

Yes, it’s possible to achieve both goals simultaneously if you’re falling into one of three categories 👇

1. You’re a complete beginner to weight training and nutrition

2. You’re coming off the back of an injury but previously in shape.

3. You have some training history but have fallen out of the loop with diet and exercise.

So if you’re in this spot - here’s how to achieve body recomp effectively:

1️⃣ Strength Training is Key: Aim for 3-4 strength training sessions per week to maximize muscle growth or muscle retention as the primary form of training. Focusing on wholebody or upper / lower splits.

2️⃣ Protein 🍗: Keep protein intake high to support muscle repair and growth alongside minimising hunger hormones and stabilising blood sugar. Aim to include sources like chicken, fish, tofu, eggs, beef, pork, whey protein, cottage cheese and Greek yoghurt amongst others!

3️⃣ Caloric Balance ⚖️: Create a slight calorie deficit (10-20% below maintenance) to promote fat loss while still providing enough fuel to build muscle. Avoid drastic cuts that can lead to muscle loss if body recomp is the goal.

4️⃣ Cardio 🏃‍♂️: Incorporate cardio within your workouts but after you’ve lifted first 💪. Steady state or HIIT, pick the one you like the most.

5️⃣ Consistency and Patience 🕒: The key to achieving body recomposition is staying consistent with all the variables and not changing too much in the hope of just losing weight.

A loss of between 0.5-1% of current bodyweight per week will be bang on the money for amazing results over time.

Another week, another result coming from the proven CMP coaching process! 💪

Lindsay came into coaching after seeing her Doctor about her struggles with energy and losing weight.

After being told to just ‘accept it’s a part of aging’ Lindsay starter her search for a personal trainer and came across one of our early ads for CMP Rotherham .

Signing up and becoming one of Coach Kerri’s first ever clients , Lindsay found herself doing things in a gym that she never thought would be her!

Lifting weights and training with a solid exercise program has now become second nature, whilst her whole view on nutrition has completely changed.

Not only that but Lindsay has lost a whopping 40lbs in weight in just five months with our structured and specific approach to body transformations!

Plus, Lindsay has finally found something that’s helped her lose the belly fat and actually feels happy in her body for the first time in a long time ❤️

We now push on with the next phase.

Another results coming in from the CMP transformation programs 💪

New Dad Andy came into coaching having completely fallen out of the loop with exercise since having his first child.

His diet had taken a hit too.

Andy had always thought of himself as ‘in-shape’ until the weight and body fat crept on to the point where I no longer felt that way!

Acknowledging that he needed a bit of a kick up the backside, Andy got started on his fat loss program.

I started out by rebuilding Andy’s fitness and strength in phase one before moving to more of a physique dominant split.

Coupled with a constant calorie deficit and structured refeeds, Andy is now shifting belly fat and feeling much happier in himself.

‘The biggest thing for me is knowing that Chris is looking over my every move and it keeps me accountable even on the days where I’m lacking motivation.

First weekend away without the kids 🙈 with and ready to get back to another week of driving CMC and gyms forward!

It’s funny,

When I worked in London, I never saw London.

I worked in the gym from 7am-9/10pm canvassing for clients, training clients, repeat.

And whilst it’s great to say you live and work in London, I don’t think I could live anywhere else but home 🏠

Still great to visit though and great weather too ☀️

First time , which lived up to expectations 😋

Would definitely recommend!

It is possible to lose weight and body fat and actually keep it off, you know!

At CMP we have a clear process for diet phases, reverse diet phases, maintenance and builds!

Meaning that if you achieve epic results like Rob’s, you don’t have to go back to square one and start all over again if you don’t want to 👌

If we work with a client through their reverse diet, and you don’t fall into the classic trap of thinking that losing weight is the only part of the process, we strategically build their calories back up to maintenance calories so that they stay as close to their transformation result as possible!

Imagine that?

You work hard, you achieve results and you have a change of never going back to square one.

This is what’s missing every time you fall into the trap of short term programs, 6 week bootcamps, crash diets and food demonising.

You simply lose weight and regain it afterwards.

It’s avoidable.
