Batting first, Dadyaal Stars made a steady start and looked capable of posting a competitive total. However, regular breakthroughs from the Eagles bowlers prevented them from building any meaningful momentum.
Despite the pressure, Ihtisham Ali stood firm for the Stars, top-scoring with a determined 28 from 37 deliveries, while Yasir Mumtaz provided some much-needed acceleration with a lively 23 from just 16 balls.
Just as Dadyaal Stars looked ready to kick on, Rotherham Town Eagles tightened their grip on the contest.

The Eagles all-rounder bowled with exceptional discipline and accuracy, dismantling the batting order to finish with outstanding figures of 3 wickets for just 9 runs.
He was brilliantly supported by Kamran Akram, who chipped in with two crucial wickets as the Eagles maintained relentless pressure throughout the innings.
With partnerships proving difficult to establish, Dadyaal Stars were eventually bowled out for 116 in 22.4 overs, leaving themselves with a total that would require a strong bowling effort to defend.

Chasing 117 for victory, Rotherham Town Eagles would have expected a comfortable afternoon.
Instead, they found themselves in a battle.
Early wickets gave Dadyaal Stars belief, and suddenly the Eagles were under pressure despite the modest target.
At a crucial stage of the chase, Sayed Ul Zaman stepped up with a composed and aggressive innings, striking 31 from just 23 deliveries to keep the scoreboard ticking and prevent the required rate from becoming an issue.
Yet every time the Eagles looked set to pull away, Dadyaal Stars struck back.
π― Thangaiah Anandakrishnan and Ihtisham Ali both claimed two wickets, dragging their side back into the contest and creating genuine tension in the middle overs.
With wickets falling and the game hanging in the balance, one man once again rose to the occasion.
