END OF AN ERA!!!!!!!!!!!
Sadly, due to this horrible virus after 32 years of being open we are ending our working career in a very different way. We were retiring on 3rd of April but as we are not out of lockdown we're sorry to say we will not be reopening again.
After living and working on this land since 1975 and with our family building and making The Marquis Hotel a very popular business, we then opened The Marchioness in 1989, from that day we have welcomed thousands of lovely members (friends) some of which have been with us from the beginning.
We started as a gym and hair salon and through the years we have expanded and added aerobic Studio which brought along a whole new era of clients and staff.
As a family run business It's been wonderful to have our two daughters work with us, Donna has worked in the gym for more than 20 years, and Toni started her own beauty business here.
So all it leaves us to say is that we are very sad to be retiring this way under these circumstances.
So we would like to thank all our clients past and present and all the people we have had the pleasure of working alongside, we will miss you all and class you all as friends.
We will still be living here for a while so when you are allowed please call in to see us.

Hello to all our customers
We're back open on MONDAY 27TH JULY 🥰😀🏋️‍♀️🏋️‍♂️
Things will be a little different,but only to keep us all safe.
We have made the difficult decision not to run any of our exercise classes from the day we open and instead use our studio for our cardio machines, as the ventilation is much better in this room also allowing us to separate all our resistance machines meaning you will not be near anyone on another machine
* we are putting cleaning and hand sanitising stations up around the gym
* staff will also clean the gym and machines throughout the day
* upon entering the reception we ask if you can wash your hands
* do NOT attend the gym if you feel unwell in any way
* come ready to train as the showers and changing rooms will not be in use
*we will take your temperature and contact details on arrival
* we will only be allowing a limited number of people in the gym at one time
* Normal ladies and mens day apply
* new visits and people who haven't been for over a year must book as normal but we are not taking new booking till the week commencing 10th Aug

This is our new normal but we think you'll like it and feel safe to come back and train without any worries
We've missed you all and cant wait to welcome you all back
