After a few year hiatus, our Firbeck Crecy shoot is finally returning! Taking place on the 20th of July you have just one week left to enter!

Embrace truly traditional English archery and shoot at a Frenchman! Recreating the battle of Crecy we have Knights on horseback at 160 yards, Men at Arms at 145 yards and Genoese Crossbowmen at 120 yards. Juniors shoot at Men at Arms at 100 yards and Genoese Crossbowmen at 80 yards.

Recurve, Longbow and Traditional/Barebow are all welcome and fancy dress is encouraged but not essential.

Archery ‘fun day’ and ‘have a go’ for family and friends at our field on Sunday 22nd June.

Just a reminder that unfortunately our field is closed today so there will be no shooting.

Thursday will be as usual with the field available from 2pm until dusk and our indoor session at SHU being open 7pm-9pm.

The field will also be available on Friday 2pm until dusk as a replacement for losing Tuesday!

We are running two sets of beginners courses this summer for anyone interested in archery!

Courses will be held on six consecutive Thursday evenings starting on the 8th of May and the 19th of June but spaces are limited. One catch up lesson is also provided in case you miss a lesson for any reason.

All equipment is provided and throughout the lessons you will have a series of coaches to offer differing insights and techniques. Anyone having completed the course is then welcome to join the club if they wish to continue archery as a hobby.

MESSAGE FROM COLIN HOPE
Hi to everyone who was going to attend the Audrey Lawrence shoot this weekend. Sorry that it had to be cancelled, but it was not our decision. The hall we were shooting in is not now opening until 12.00 which doesn't give us time to complete the tournament.
I will keep in touch with all competitor's to let you know if we can rearrange.
