It's tight at the top! 👊

Bonnybridge GolfClub member Johanne Quin is our clubhouse leader at the 9-Hole Challenge with all players now out on the course or finished up ⛳

There were 4 players all tied for the top until Quin's 18 Stableford points planted her at the summit of the table, but will it be enough? We'll soon find out...

We're delighted to be back at Bonnybridge GolfClub for the second consecutive year as players compete in the 9-Hole Challenge for 2026 ⛳

This year sees a new format for the event, with the competition moving to an individual Stableford, open to all amateur golfers with a Scottish Golf registered WHS Handicap Index ⭐

Golf clubs across Scotland are embracing the opportunity to drive levels of participation with record numbers of sign-ups for 2026 Scottish Golf junior programmes. ⛳

With registrations for GolfSixes, GolfNines and Get into Golf programmes on the rise, it’s great news for the development of the game.📈

And with funds in place to help clubs in rural and outlying areas with coaching and, all across Scotland, the development of women’s and girls’ activities, this summer promises to be a busy and exciting period for grassroots golf.

Scottish Men’s Open - 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🏆

Greg Holmes admitted his stunning win at Glasgow Gailes Links - including a course record 62 in round two - almost left him lost for words!

But the Royal Birkdale golfer later recovered his poise to speak proudly of the biggest win of his career.

And he also took time to thank girlfriend Amie for keeping him grounded during a tough final day when the pressure mounted.

We have our champion🏆….

Congratulations to Greg Holmes - a deserved winner.🎉

A closing round of 68 to finish on -12 for the week was enough for the Englishman to claim a two-shot victory from nearest challenger, Denmark’s Mads Heller.
