What a day at Dornoch! ☀️⛳️

We rounded off the junior season in style with our North Regional GolfNines and Girls’ GolfSixes events on the Struie Course Royal Dornoch Golf Club.

The sun shone as:
• 77 boys and 19 girls clubs teed it up in our GolfNines
• 20 girls from 6 clubs played in our North GolfSixes event.

These events are how we support more clubs and junior opportunities in the north. 💪🏻

Massive thanks to the team at Dornoch for hosting us at such an incredible venue and for helping run the event 🙌🏼

St Andrews, sunshine and smiles - what a winning hat-trick! 😍

Congratulations to the 120 boys and girls from clubs all over Scotland who enjoyed the experience of lifetime over the weekend.

The inaugural Road to the Home of Golf event was a huge success with mid-to-high handicap juniors savouring the chance to tee it up on the Eden and Strathtyrum courses.

For many it was their first competition, for most it was their first chance to play at the Home of Golf.

It really was a great way to end the season after a summer of qualifying events at home clubs featuring over 2,500 juniors nationwide.

Hats off to Cambuslang’s Charlie Thomson (C**t Cup) and Lukas Marr from Anstruther (Young Tom Trophy) who topped the podium and to all our golfers for playing with heart and skill.

Sunday 🤝 Fun-Day!

We’re at the Road to the Home of Golf final today at sun-kissed St Andrews! ☀️

This brilliant new event in collaboration with our friends at the St Andrews Links Trust features 120 juniors from 77 clubs around the country.⛳️

Aimed at mid to high handicap juniors, our young stars took part in club qualifiers to book their place at today’s final.

Sunshine and St Andrews - is there a better combination in the world of golf?😍

All roads lead to the Home of Golf….⛳

We’re really excited about welcoming an expanded field of 120 young golfers from across Scotland to this weekend’s inaugural Road to the Home of Golf final in St Andrews.

The new event, launched in collaboration with St Andrews Links Trust, is designed for mid-to-high handicap juniors aged between 9-18.

The aim from the outset was simple - to place the emphasis on fun and development and to encourage our youngest players to discover and enjoy golf.

All summer, clubs across our six regions have been playing qualifiers and kids from 77 clubs will be in St Andrews this weekend to bring down the curtain on their season.

Participating clubs span the country, from Golspie in Sutherland to Powfoot in Dumfries and Galloway, underlining the reach of the new competition.

Fraser Crawford, Participation Manager at Scottish Golf, said: “It’s been fantastic to watch the momentum gather and for so many clubs, already engaged with our National Junior Framework, to sign up for qualifiers.

“Good luck to all the boys and girls taking part on the Eden and Strathtyrum courses. We can’t wait to see the skills on show!

Gillian Paton, Strategy Manager and Company Secretary at St Andrews Links Trust, said: “Competing at the Home of Golf is a fantastic experience for ambitious junior players to improve their skills, build their confidence and develop a lifelong enjoyment of the sport.”

Scottish Golf is looking for a female Vice-President! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

The Vice-President of Scottish Golf is an honorary position and is ambassadorial and ceremonial, promoting and positively representing Scottish Golf at a wide range of events, functions, and championships ⛳

The Vice-President role is a voluntary role with a one-year term that progresses to President in year two, so candidates should be aware this would be a two-year commitment.

The Scottish Golf Articles of Association require gender balance within the Presidential Team. As our current Vice President and therefore incoming President is male, we are only seeking applications from female candidates at this time.

Hannah’s Home of Golf heroics!

Congratulations to Hannah Ounap for matching world number one Farah O’Keefe blow-for-blow at the St Andrews Links Collegiate.

Hannah - a Scotland girls’ international and a member at both Loudoun Gowf Club and Deeside Golf Club - was crowned co-champion with the world’s top ranked female amateur in the 36-hole event on the Jubilee Course. Rounds of 66 and 76 saw the pair tied on -2.

It’s the 17-year-old’s first college title in just her second event as a new student at the University of Washington!

Carly has Georgia on her mind!⛳

Good luck to Scottish Girls’ Open and Amateur champion Carly McDonald as she tees it up later today in a fantastic event in America.🇺🇸

The 15-year-old from St Andrews – also the reigning R&A Girls’ Under 16 champion – is taking part in the Annika Invitational at The Golf Club of Georgia.

Scotland ace Carly is one of 72 girls aged 12-19 taking part in the prestigious event that is hosted by golfing legend Annika Sorenstam.

The championship is a 54-hole stroke play challenge and features some of the world’s leading junior girls including defending champion and US Curtis Cup ace Asterisk Talley.

Play some of Scotland’s most iconic courses this winter at preferential rates ⛳🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

The Scottish Golf Winter Tee Times ballot is back for 2026/27, giving members of affiliated clubs the chance to play bucket-list venues including Muirfield, Royal Troon, Prestwick, Renaissance, Royal Dornoch, Cruden Bay, Gullane, Dumbarnie, North Berwick, Nairn and SCHLOSS Roxburghe.

Our thanks to all clubs who have generously donated their tee times this year. 🙏🏻

Every penny raised goes towards supporting junior golf in Scotland, with a record £56,000 raised through the initiative last year 🙌🏼
