Today's performance was absolutely fantastic, Warriors! I was a bit worried that the opposing team, with their incredibly talented players, would give us a tough reality check and a heavy defeat. But, boy, was I proven wrong!

You all showed an unwavering commitment to fighting, defending, and playing for each other, which is a testament to how far you've come over the past season. Your beautiful passing football and clever defending tactics were a joy to watch. Instead of recklessly diving in, you held your ground and made the opposing team work hard for their goals. Your teamwork, communication, and support for each other were truly impressive.

Coaches player Scarlett! dominated at right back. Left wing couldn’t get past her most the time which started really getting to him. Then went into midfield where she left a wake of destruction.

Parents player Brandon - once again consistently brilliant at left back. Knew against this team when to get it away early and when to hold. Communicated with Ilyas brilliantly and never gave up.

Players player Ilyas - massive performance. Best defensive performance I’ve seen him produce! Strong, brought the ball out from the back, didn’t panic and slowed down the attackers rather than dive in to challenges and leaving us exposed. Him and OD are a force of a pairing and he was solid next to his left back

A lot to take from todays game. We didn't know what to expect but we held our own against a good team. It could off gone either way.

It turned out to have been a hot day for the girls and we know they worked there socks off by how out of breath they was when they came off.

I felt we started off slow and was a bit reserved, just needed to be a bit more direct and have a bit more confidence.

I dont want to be to negative about todays game as they are a academy team and we stayed in the game all the way through. so well done to all the girls. And well done to Tamworth Academy.

Me and Lee picked a player each for coaches players today. Coaches players was Amelia for some fantastic saves and Lily who never stopped running all game well done girls. And well done to everyone else they all did brilliant we go again next week enjoy the rest of your Sunday.

Fantastic first game back today. Everyone worked for each other, the confidence on the ball and knowing where there teams mates was going to be was unbelievable. But what I loved the most was the movement of the ball today and the bravery of us making them through balls to the runners. Everyone worked there socks until the final whistle. We conceded the first goal but the girls didn't panic and trusted in what we have been working on and what is asked of them, it worked and we turned it around a great result final result. Fantastic performance from all.

Thank you to Olive and Emily for setting up and doing half each in goal, it appreciated by whole team.

Well done today girls, bearing in mind we haven’t played since last season. We performed well and kept them at 1-1 for most of the game.

Well done to Layla, playing in her first game, all a big learning curve and game time helps to learn.

We played some good football and had chances, but failed to get the ball over the line.

Overall, a really good performance from the girls. We created plenty of chances and probably should have added a lot more goals, but that’s something we can work on as the season progresses.

For the first game of the season, there was a lot to be pleased about. All the girls worked incredibly hard, supported each other throughout and showed some great teamwork when things got tough towards the end of the game

Lots of positives to take from today, and plenty for us to build on going forward. Well done girls!

We’re looking for a new goalkeeper to join our U11s squad this coming season, either with our Sharks U11s (Saturday), our Bears U11s (Sunday), or one committed keeper who can cover both teams.
