Game Week 7 Results Round Up.

A big win for the 1st XI away at Totton & Eling thanks to the all-round performance of Chris Wood, Hakim's incredible spell with the new ball and a quick fire 41 from Harry Tulk.

The 2nd team suffered a frustrating loss to Trojans, and the 3rd team suffered anothr heavy defeat.

Possibly the highlight of the week was the 4th team. Despite losing, the extremely youthful squad including 4 players from one family, played brilliantly showing excellent team spirit. A 152 run partnership between Jamie Hayes and Harry Falla setting up a very competitive total before a fantastic team effort with the ball saw the game go down to the final over.

World Cup fever isn’t too far away!
England’s opening game is on Wednesday the 17th against Croatia come down and watch the game at the club. Bar opens at 5.30pm with a BBQ starting at 7pm. Training from 6-8pm as normal ⚽️

The 1st XI look to get back to winning ways at home to Fair Oak.

The 2nd XI travel to Hursley Park looking to keep their unbeaten start to the season going

The 3rd XI host Paultons still hunting their first win of the season

The 4th XI travel to Wellow with a 1st game of the season for former 1st class cricketer Iain Brunnschweiler providing experience and wisdom alongside his son Oscar.

Player of the week - Week 5: Alex Bampton

Well deserved after his 2nd nomination in as many weeks Alex Bampton gets his hands on our player of the week award for week 5. 10 bonus points in fantasy cricket for Alex, who is surely the red hot favourite to be MVP at the end of the season.

Gameweek 5 results:

The 1st team took it deep but fell short away to Calmore in Saturday's SPL Division 1 encounter before beating Langley Manor in a close T20 contest on Sunday.

The 2nd team continued winning ways with Alex Bampton & Basit Hakimi starring with both bat and ball.

The 3rd team suffered another defeat, but showed some good determination with the bat to pick up some valuable points.

The 4th team played a high scoring game at home to Whiteparish, with a 50 for youngster Oli Mason and veteran Pat Menage as well as 48 from Theo Romer. Unfortunately they fell 30 runs short of victory.

Player of the week nominations to follow later this evening, with some excellent individual performances in an otherwise fairly disappointing week
