Part of an article that I wrote over 18 months ago but still very much my absolute favourite quote of all time:

Tomorrow is a big day for me as I move onto the next chapter in the fitness industry. Having set up and been running for the last 5 years it’s provided me with the most incredible experience, given me friends for life and provided some amazing, hilarious and heartwarming memories that I will treasure forever 💚

I’m doing lots of freelance work over summer and enjoying the school holidays with my kids but I’m excited about a new role starting 1st September. - if you know you know 😉

Great day today. What I love most about the fitness industry is the buzz. So good to bump into so many familiar faces. Didn’t take enough photos to do it justice (too busy chatting as always). Next stop: Independent Gym Owners Conference 5th July!

Announcement 📣

We have made the tough decision to leave our current premises at Basepoint Romsey with effect from 30/06/2022.

It’s been an extremely turbulent few years and to be honest, we all need a break.

Amy Dutfield will be announcing her exciting move within the fitness industry shortly but in the meantime the gym remains open until the end of June.

It’s always so tough making difficult business decisions but we know this is the right thing to do at this moment in time. More about our journey can be read in the article that published today in Gym Owner Monthly.

Current members will be receiving further communication via email over the weekend.

It was one hell of a Super Sunday for so51fitness this weekend at Romsey Relay Marathon.

We love this annual event. It’s always such a great atmosphere and so well organised by Rotary in Romsey 👏. Even the rain didn’t dampen spirits, despite its best efforts.

This year 11 females & 9 males split across 2 full teams of 10 took on the annual challenge of a marathon, running a 2.6mile leg each.

One of our mixed teams managed 5th place overall and with 10 legitimate runners (no tactically putting a super speedy runner in for 2 legs from us! 😉) we bought the baton home in an impressive 3hours and 2minutes.

It might be time to bring on SO51Run Club 😉

Meanwhile, back in the gym, our very lovely Helena who has a disability meaning she is unable to run, decided to row 2 legs of 2.6 miles on the Concept2, Inc. rower. What an absolute legend she is - yet again proving that you should never give up and find something positive you can do. A total inspiration to us all 💫
