A U G U S T 🦁

This month I sank deeply into the quiet life. No big plans, minimal work. Slow morning, lots of cups of tea and going with the flow 怰ļø

Fruit & veg was abundant so there was much eating from the land. Gentle meet ups with friends and getting my feet in the sea and on the earth.

And yes, in person Reiki is back.. watch this space šŸ‘€

Smiles, laughter, peace, joy šŸ’›

You know what I wish I’d known before I burnt out?

How to listen to my body sooner.
How to say no.
How to stop.
And especially, how to rest without feeling like I’d somehow failed at being productive.

These are things I’m still learning, but they’re now such an important part of how I live, and crucially, how I raise my son.

And they’re the reason Return to Rest feels so personal to me. It’s more than a weekend of rest. It’s a re-education of what rest actually is. An opportunity to experience it, understand what your body needs, and learn how to bring meaningful rest into your life long after you return home.

Return to Rest | February 2027 | The Cotswolds

A weekend to pause, learn, practise and experience rest differently.

There are still spaces available. If this feels like something you need, comment REST or send me a message and I’ll send you the full retreat booklet šŸ¤Ž

I’m curious, were you taught how to rest, or is it something you’ve had to learn as an adult?

I’ve been thinking a lot about how strange it is that something as fundamental as rest is something so many of us have an unhealthy relationship with.

I certainly did.

For years, I measured my days by what I’d achieved, how much I’d managed and how useful I’d been to others. I could be exhausted and still feel I hadn’t done enough to justify stopping.

It took severe burnout to make me question all of that.

And a dedicated time to re-educate myself on what rest really is; I learnt to feel safe resting, slowing down, saying no, having needs and letting go of responsibility for everyone else’s happiness.

These aren’t just things I talk about through my work. They are the way I live my life, and they have completely changed my relationship with rest and productivity.

And they are the reason why I created Return to Rest.

I wanted to create the kind of space I had needed myself, and share what I’ve learnt with other women.

Return to Rest is more than a weekend of rest. It’s a re-education in what rest actually is, an opportunity to experience it, understand what your body needs, and learn how to bring meaningful rest practice into your life long after you return home.

3 nights • The Cotswolds • February 2027

There are still spaces available šŸ¤Ž

I’d love to know: do you find it easy to rest, or is it something you’ve had to learn?

And if you’d like to explore the retreat, comment REST or send me a message and I’ll send you the full booklet

The thoughts were racing..
Was I wearing the right thing?
Would everyone know what they were doing?
Would I look like a wally?!

It made me think about how new students might feel walking into my classes for the first time..
A little nervous. A little unsure. Wondering if they’re doing it ā€˜right’

It was a lovely reminder for me, to never underestimate how brave it can feel to be the beginner šŸ‘Š

So if you’re new to my classes, please know this:
āļø You don’t need to know what you’re doing before you arrive. That’s what I’m here for.
āļø You don’t need to wear a ā€˜yoga’ outfit. I certainly don’t own a matching set and am still using the same clothing from 5+ years ago
āļø You don’t need to be strong or flexible to begin. If that’s something you’re aiming for, then signing up to your first yoga class is a brilliant start!

Feeling brave enough to try something new?

Check out my current offerings to see what might suit you - and I can’t wait to welcome you!
. and as for Reformer.. I’m a fan! šŸ™Œ

J U L Y šŸŒžšŸŒŠšŸ¦€šŸš

It feels so good to let the joy back in.

We pretty much lived at the beach and watched so many sunrises and sunsets.

Slow, sacred summer in full effect ✨

Making space to soak it all up, with gratitude in every drop
