Medway Girls Rugby

Medway Girls Rugby Medway Girls Rugby from age 10 to 18 However girls in the same "youth" age range have largely been bypassed. Local schools have also been contacted.

The benefits of rugby, both increased personal fitness and greater team and local community spirit, are well known and have long been enjoyed by the senior men's sections of the community. Recently there has been a phenomenal growth in mini rugby, played by boys and girls from 6 to 12 years, and in boys' youth rugby (13-18 years). Medway RFC seeks to focus efforts on bringing the sport to these wo

men/girls in Medway. Medway RFC is a community club with RFU Community Rugby Seal of Approval and the Sport England Clubmark scheme accreditation, run by local volunteers working together, using local council facilities to ensure this centre of excellence continues to offer Rugby to the community of Medway and beyond. Medway has enlisted the help of a current England Women's rugby international who visits local youth clubs to run "academy sessions" for youth girls. We wish to extend the out-reach to the community, both by hosting additional school & youth club sessions at new and existing partner schools/clubs and by bringing new players into the Medway RFC family. The girl's train on Wednesday starting at 6:30 for U13's and U15 & U18 train 7-9pm with matches or more training on Sundays.
