A Diploma in Deep Tissue Massage, Swedish Body, Indian Head, Hot & Cold Stones, Advanced Deep tissue massage techniques and Sports massage. Deep tissue massage can be an effective treatment because it facilitates the movement of toxins from the muscles and helps stretch tight or twisted muscle mass, deep-tissue massage can help promote healing. Because massage also helps relax muscles, it can reduce the pain caused by injuries, too. Deep-tissue massage is frequently used to rehabilitate sports injuries. It is very good choice for runners as it targets tight spots and is beneficial for those after hard bouts of training or a few days after a race. Swedish Body Massage often utilizes long strokes it is also beneficial to athletes before a big competition or as a recovery tool as the lighter strokes help relieve stress and muscle tension without damaging muscles. It is also very beneficial for those wanting a pamper session, to relieve stress and relax. Receiving a hot and cold stone massage can be equally beneficial
In addition, massaging and alternating the hot and cool stones helps every cell in the body to receive more oxygen and nutrients and moves lymph thereby encouraging a more effective removal of toxins. The opening and closing of the blood vessels causes a pumping action within the circulatory system which brings in more blood to the lungs and heart. It’s pretty much a vascular gymnastics for the body. It allows the body to achieve the same level of relaxation and rejuvenation as going to a sauna and jumping in the plunge pool but with the benefit of a massage included. It is a very relaxing treatment. Indian Head massage is very beneficial for those with stress, anxiety, tension headaches, alopcia and sinus problems. It is also very good for tight neck and shoulder muscles. All massage is good for Improved circulation, improved lymphatic drainage, reduced muscle tension and stress.

🩷Vitamin D is especially important as we head into autumn and winter because we get much less UVB sunlight, so our skin makes less vitamin D. In the UK, the NHS advises considering a daily 10 microgram (400 IU) vitamin D supplement from October to March.

🩷 Why do we need Vitamin D?

🩷Helps the body absorb calcium and phosphate, supporting strong bones and teeth.
🩷Supports normal muscle function and strength.
🩷Helps the immune system work normally.
🩷Low levels can contribute to bone pain and muscle weakness.
🩷During autumn and winter, UK sunlight generally isn’t strong enough for us to make sufficient vitamin D through our skin.
🩷Vitamin D is found in foods such as oily fish, egg yolks and fortified foods, but it can be difficult to get enough from diet alone.

🩷 Wellness Wednesday – Are you getting enough Vitamin D? 🩷

As autumn approaches and the days get shorter, our bodies can’t rely on sunshine for all the vitamin D we need. Vitamin D plays an important role in healthy bones, muscles and immune function.

🩷From October to March, consider a daily 10 microgram (400 IU) vitamin D supplement to help keep your levels topped up

Small supplement – important vitamin!

🧡 Training Tuesday – Why stretch your quads?

🧡 Your quadriceps are the large muscles at the front of your thighs. They work hard during walking, running, cycling, squatting, climbing stairs and strength training.

Regular quad stretching can help:
🧡 Reduce feelings of tightness and stiffness
🧡 Maintain flexibility and range of movement
🧡 Support comfortable movement at the hip and knee
🧡 Help you recover after training
🧡 Keep your legs moving freely for everyday activities

🧡The standing quad stretch in the picture
🧡Stand tall and hold onto something if you need support. Bend one knee and bring your heel towards your bottom. Hold your ankle and gently draw the heel in, keeping your knees fairly close together.

🧡Keep your body upright, lightly tuck your pelvis under and avoid arching your lower back. You should feel a gentle stretch down the front of your thigh (not pain).

⏱️ Hold for around 20–30 seconds, then change sides. Repeat 2–3 times.

How are your quads today… have you stretched yours? 🧡

💚 Mindful Monday
💚 Feeling stiff sitting for long periods?
💚 Feeling stiff from sitting at a desk, traveling, or training on a bike ?
💚 cumulative exposure, being held in the exact same physical forward flexed posture? 💚 You are essentially doubling down on the same joint positions, causing your muscles to shorten and your joints to lock up.
💚 Joint mobility naturally decreases as we age because the lubricating liquid inside our joints diminishes and connective tissues become stiffer.

What to do
💚 Get a regular deep tissue treatment as part of your health & wellbeing.
💚 Be mindful, of the position you are sat in , can you change it , can you stretch at home & at work.
💚Every hour have a walk or stretch even if it’s for a couple of minutes.
💚 You may need to change the height of your desk or computer.
💚 Cyclist may need to adjust handle bars or seats .
💚 Stretching can be done almost anytime
💚 Factoring in a mobility class - stretching. , yoga into your routine !

💚 Regular, gentle dynamic stretching and mobility exercises & massage treatments all help restore lubrication, keeping your joints resilient.

🩵 Therapy Thursday
🩵A deep tissue massage uses slow, firm pressure and specific techniques to work into deeper layers of muscle and connective tissue.
🩵It is often used on areas that feel tight, stiff or overworked rather than simply for relaxation.

🩵Benefits can include:
🩵Helps reduce muscle tension and tightness
🩵Can ease aches and stiffness
🩵Helps improve mobility and flexibility
🩵Supports recovery after exercise or training
🩵Can help with knots and trigger points
🩵Helps improve circulation to the treated area.
🩵Useful for people with repetitive strain from work, sport or posture
🩵Can be part of regular maintenance and injury prevention routines

🩵It can benefit gym goers, runners, cyclists, office workers, manual workers, or anyone who regularly feels tight and achy.

🩵Deep tissue massage isn’t just about using more pressure it’s about working specifically into areas of tension to help muscles move and recover better.
