It is with great sadness to announce that Hogarths FC will not be continuing. I’d like to thank all the players who’ve put a kit on over the last 2 seasons and, of course, Thomas Culshaw & Will Myers, who’ve worked so hard behind the scenes and given it their all, it’s not been easy but they’ve been brilliant.

It’s been an absolute pleasure to watch you lads represent this club that Tom and I had created, I could not have asked for a better group of lads, I wish everyone success with whatever they do moving forward.

Duke of Wellington 0-3 Hogarths FC

A commanding performance from minute 1 in Heywood today, we took the lead after just 3 minutes when Connor’s shot just crept in past the keeper, and in just 3 more minutes we doubled our lead through Jacob.

We pressed for a third and finally found it, Jacob, again, and that was all 3 points, bouncing back from last week’s defeat, a well earned clean sheet.

Hogarths FC 2-3 Millburn FC

A game in which we didn’t take our chances that later came back to bite us. A disappointing result in our final home game of the season; Jacob played the clown today, as he could have had a hat trick today but hit them all at the keeper.

Both our goals came from well-struck free kicks from Connor and Dion, but it wasn’t enough, and our winning streak comes to an end. Connor has dedicated his goal to the single mothers of Rochdale; please message the page if interested.

What a performance from the lads today who deserved the win, even after going 1-0 down, we turned it round with 2 goals before half-time. Jacob equalised just 5 mins after we had gone behind, with a fortunate goal assisted by Crawford.

Crawford managed his second assist of the game, sending in Butty, whose shot snuck under the goalkeeper. It was backs against the wall for the second half, but we managed to hold on and get all 3 points!

Hogarths 3-1 Radcliffe Wanderers

A massive 3 points in a game we fully deserved to win. A cagey start to the game that could have gone either way, and we went in level at the break, 0-0. The opening goal came when Butty got on the end of a through ball from Jacob and finished past the keeper.

The away side pegged us back against the run of play, but our heads never went down. We found two goals in the last 20: the first from Jacob with a great assist from Sproates and Crawford’s great strike from distance.

A wet and windy day down at Kingsway but a great victory, albeit against 9 men. We took the lead after just a few minutes when Butty’s unusual strike found the net. Cassy picked up his first goal for Hogarths after heading in from a butty cross. It was smooth sailing for the majority of the game with Sam not having to make a save.

3-0 at half time and the opposition up to 10 men, we got 3 further goals, including, unbelievably, a brace from Swilko (a sentence I never thought I’d type out) and a screamer from Crawford.

Hogarths FC 2-4 Middletonians

A tough game with a threadbare squad today in an absolute mud bath at Bowlee, but we opened the scoring early with a goal from Lewis, but a controversial penalty made the scores level at half time.

It was back against the wall for the second half, but three further goals inside the opening 20 minutes of the second half and a consolation free kick from Connor with the last kick of the game saw the visitors take all 3 points.

A flattering scoreline for the hosts in a game we were unlucky not to get anything out of. A performance we can definitely take positives from; we went in at half time 2-1 down after a strike from Butty that, looking like it was going over, looped over the keeper.

We equalised with a great ball from Tom, which found Jake Tait, who beat the keeper and stabbed home. It was downhill from there, with two goals conceded within the space of five minutes, and it was game over.

Hogarths FC 1-3 Swan & Cem

Defeat in the cup today down at Kingsway; the away side took an early lead inside the opening 5 minutes, and we managed to equalise through a well-taken strike by Lewis. We went in level at half-time but Swan retook the lead with 20 minutes left to play, with a good strike from Jan Koller.

We threw men forward in search of an equaliser but conceded inside the last minute of added time. Tough one to take, as we played well throughout the game but just couldn’t find that second goal.
