Reasonable numbers on the mat this evening. Lead coach this evening was Andy Merchant assisted by Dave Hulme, again plenty of tactical techniques followed with crash mat work.

On the mat this evening we were joined by 4 of our beginners from the prior class, Adil, Masum, Yusuf and Pocoltor. Well done to all of them for having the courage to join the Senior class with experienced judokas.

It’s so important that we have on the mat coaches who care about people’s safety and who can assess the students they’re teaching. RJC thanks everyone for their support.

Darren Johnson went to the Stratford veterans grading today. Darren had 4 fights, he won 2 and lost 2 meaning that he now has 80 points towards his 2nd Dan. He only needs another 20 points to get there. Darrens first win was with O -Goshi, his second win was with a strangle/ choke. Photo 2 shows him enjoying an after competition drink .
