Rochdale Judo Club Rochdale Judo Club celebrating 75 years in judo visit website at https://rochdalejudoclub.co.uk All people of any fitness level and experience are welcome.

Rochdale Judo Club provides judo training with experienced and certified UKCC and BJA registered coaches. Mat fees are £5 per session for non-members and £4 per session for RJC members. Though not mandatory, Club membership is £10 per year and does offer several benefits. We offer both junior and senior classes. Active military, police, fire and ambulance services as well as cadets, scouts and guides will receive a discount upon proof. Monday, Wednesday & Thursday nights are adult senior training sessions; Tuesday and Friday nights are junior (under 14) training sessions. Heart of England in Walsall

Julia got the bronze, bossing the first fight with scoring wazari and ippon to win, unfortunately she came unstuck in her 2nd fight losing a very competitive battle, the 3rd fight she fought extremely well but out gripped by her very experienced opponent. Good experience all round, looking forward to the next one. Mat side coach Dave Hulme is very pleased with Julia's performance today

English Closed in London. Both girls started in a new weight category. Despite the injury, Amelia decided to step on the mat and try, however after her first fight she had to withdraw due to the pain- it wasn't worth risking as she's got a few more big competitions ahead.

Julia- fighting for the first time in u70kg was a bit nervous, but managed to secure her first bronze medal ,🥉. We are coming back with a bit of unsatisfactory but it's another chapter to explore and the girls are looking forward to it. Another good session last Thursday. Andy Merchant lead coach, with Dave Hulme finishing the session with groundwork (Ne-Waza) . Numbers a little quiet due to the Holiday period coming to an end. Anyone wishing to train this Bank holiday Monday Dave Hulme and Andy Merchant will be at the club. And who knows it could be a free session (no mat fee).
