๐ฅ DEVELOPING SMARTER, STRONGER NETBALLERS ๐ฅ
Another fantastic session tonight at M&A Netball Association, where our focus was on the small details that create big impacts on court.
Players worked extensively on footwork techniques designed to help them move around opponents, gain better positioning, and create opportunities to tip, deflect, and intercept passes. Understanding movement, timing, and body positioning is a vital part of netball, and it was brilliant to see players applying these skills throughout the session.
We then moved into specialist position-specific training, allowing players to develop the key skills needed for their individual roles on court.
๐๐ก๏ธ Shooters and Defenders worked alongside Coach Kev, focusing on creating space, timing movements, reading the game, applying defensive pressure, and developing the skills needed to make an impact in both attack and defence. The attention to detail and willingness to learn was fantastic to see.
โก Centre Court players worked with Coach Phoebe, concentrating on transition play, supporting teammates, creating passing options, maintaining strong court balance, and linking play effectively from defence through to attack.
We would also like to recognise Coach Phoebe following an outstanding first coaching session alongside Coach Kev. Her session was delivered with confidence, attention to detail, and a genuine passion for player development. The positive energy she brought to training, combined with her ability to challenge and support players, made a significant impact. It was fantastic to see players responding so well to her coaching, and we are excited to have her as part of the M&A coaching team moving forward. ๐๐ฝ๐

The effort, attitude, and willingness to learn shown by every player tonight was outstanding. Seeing players challenge themselves, embrace new ideas, and continue to improve week after week is what makes our club so special.
