It's nearly that time of week, time for the group!
We will be on hand to answer all your breastfeeding queries, help with positioning, help with getting that pain free latch and anything else you throw at us! We can also support with bottle feeding too.

We know how vulnerable you can feel when things aren't going to plan, so come along and let us listen and guide you if that's what you need.

We also have a special guest popping in - Emma from Little One Snug - Hastings Sling Library / Babywearing Consultancy who will provide you with all the support you need to carry your little one from a tiny newborn to toddler hood. So bring your slings and get them checked and adjusted so that you are really comfortable with them, rather than just making do! As always this is a free service we are offering, thanks to our wonderful sponsors.

We are closed this week and next. We usually operate all summer long but unfortunately this year we have to close for two weeks, our apologies.

If you need help in the meantime, you are welcome to message us, contact your midwife or health visitor or midwife or attend one of the breastfeeding groups (see photos below) in either Hastings or Rye that continue to run over the summer or contact the National Breastfeeding Helpline (see photos).

It was so lovely to see new faces, and those who've been before, at the group yesterday.

Did you chat to Stevie? Stevie joined us from East Sussex Maternity & Neonatal Voices, and chatted to lots of you about your experiences, both positive and slightly more challenging.

MNVP are great at both feeding back to the relevant parties and helping instigate change to make things better for the future.

So if you have given birth in the last 12 months in East Sussex Healthcare Trust (Conquest, Eastbourne Midwifery Unit, or Homebirth) and would like to give some/more feedback, complete the form below.

If you gave birth in Kent, contact and Tunbridge Wells MNVP.

Our survey is open to anyone who has used the East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust (ESHT) maternity & Neonatal service within the last 12 months and may take up to 30 minutes to complete. All questions are optional so you can answer as many or as little as you want. We would like to hear your experience...

We are meeting tomorrow, Wednesday, for the last time before September.

Come along meet other mums, get your questions answered and leave feeling armed with the knowledge, calmed and ready to face the next week of breastfeeding your little one.

This week we will have the lovely Stevie joining us from East Sussex Maternity & Neonatal Voices who do a fantastic job of collating feedback and then helping to make changes to improve the experience of having a baby in East Sussex.

We look forward to seeing you all.

If anyone in the UK would be happy to share their story about how high formula milk prices have affected them please do get in touch and I can give you more details.

You can use a different name and details or even have your voice changed.

They are looking for stories that might include experiences such as:

- Feeling your mental health was affected or relationships

- Getting into debt or having to ask others for help

- Feeling really let down by both a lack of breastfeeding support and now a lack of intervention on prices

- Resorting to watering down feeds

It will all be very supportive and non judgemental.

Yet another reason why groups like this one are so important. We need to shout from the rooftops, so that people don't even have to think twice about where to get support!

We need to make sure that the word is spread about groups like ours that provide EXPERT support.

People need to know that this group is provided free of charge to everyone, regardless of economic status. We find private funding to ensure this is always the case! And these private funders ask for nothing in return.

We welcome all methods of feeding. We will provide support for all.

So if you know someone about to have a baby, who might know someone who might have a baby, who may know a friend who may know someone about to have a baby, talk to them about this group. Let's get the word out there!

And if you know someone who will struggle to get to us because of financial or logistical reasons (or any other reason), tell them to contact us directly and we will do our utmost to help them access the support they need.

We are here to help!
