Monkstone PC hosted our annual two-way competition with our friends from Royal Wootton Bassett. On a VERY hot day, we played two doubles and two triples, and enjoyed a delicious lunch. Monkstone took the honours, but it was more about conviviality then competition. Many thanks to Ros Goddard for organising.

We travelled over the border last week to Ross-on-Wye to play Wilton Bridge PC. A fabulous day of friendly competition under sunny skies. Thank you, Wilton Bridge, for your hospitality. We look forward to hosting you in Cardiff.

Many hands make light gravelling. Over the weekend, Monkstone members spread five tonnes of gravel on their pistes in readiness for the new season. Well done, everyone.

Great night at our MPC quiz night in aid of Samaritans Cymru charity last night.
Some of our raffle prize winners and organisers posing for pics.
A huge thanks to all of our local businesses and contributors for the prizes - which includes a ride in a DeLorean car - and all of the organisers who helped make it such a great night.
All proceeds are going to Samaritans Cymru and will help those struggling with mental health, loneliness and isolation, and help those in need of emotional support.

This morning we had our Pétanque Taster session for Juniors (8 - 17 year olds).
The weather was wonderful and the quality of the boules playing was very impressive from these potential champions of the future.
It has inspired us to hold another session sometime in the future. So, if you or your kids are interested in trying out a new sport and would like to meet and make new friends then keep an eye out on our page, or contact our Junior Section Coordinator Ashley Seath on 07377381590.
