Ripon Gymnastics Academy

Ripon Gymnastics Academy We're Gymnastics club running classes in Ripon, Knaresborough and Boroughbridge. Classes available f We hold recreational classes and various squad pathways.

We are a dynamic, friendly club with classes available for boys and girls ages 4-18 years. Everyone in our classes have an opportunity to move up as long as they meet the skills, aims and criteria for each group. We work on the squad requirements with all lessons. We are a fair club and want everyone to reach their potential. At this present time our classes are held at King James' School Knaresborough, Boroughbridge High School and Ripon Grammar School

Well done to all our gymnasts who competed at the NGA Perfectly Pink competition at the weekend! 🤸‍♀️ 🎉

This was a super high standard competition with many of our girls competing at these levels for the first time so they did really well.

Level 1 Group C:
Freya- 3rd beam 🥉, 4th bars 🎗️, 5th floor 🎗️, 4th overall 🎗️
Ruby- 12th overall ✨

Bronze Group A:
Alice- 9th overall ✨
Abbie- 10th overall ✨

Bronze Group D:
Alisa- 4th bars 🎗️, 2nd vault 🥈, 6th overall ✨

Silver Group A:
Elodie- 1st bars 🥇, 5th floor 🎗️, 7th overall ✨
Isabelle- 8th overall ✨

WEEK 4

*Assessment Week*

We will be doing assessments with all gymnasts in the club* this week (week commencing 4th May).

Assessments are so we can ensure children are in the best class level based on the skills they can do. It also helps coaches identify any skills we may need to practice more in our classes.

Please note: assessments are different to badges, they do not receive a badge or certificate for assessments.

*The following squads will be doing assessments the last week of term due to an upcoming competition: Development, Development Prep, Academy 3, Academy 2 & C Squad.

A small number of children usually move up from each group to a harder class each assessment period, although this depends on the class and level.

If your child is to move up classes following assessments, you will receive an email 1-2 weeks after assessment week, and the change will take place after the May half term.

If you would like to know what your child needs to work on for assessments please email us, we will get back to you as soon as we can :)

Well done to our gymnasts who competed in the Yorkshire Floor & Vault competition yesterday!

The girls all performed fantastically with their routines and vaults and were a lovely supportive group 🤩

We had the following results:

10&under Advanced:
Talia- 4th floor 🎗️, 5th overall 🎗️
Clemmie competed at her first ever competition and composed herself brilliantly for her first performance 🥳

12&under Intermediate:
Ava- 2nd floor 🥈, 2nd vault 🥈, 2nd overall 🥈
Evelyn- competed for the first time to music so well done 👏

12&under Advanced:
Alanis- 3rd floor 🥉, 4th overall 🎗️
Holly- 4th floor 🎗️, 5th overall 🎗️- brilliant for her first ever competition 🥳
Felicity- 6th floor 🎗️ also competed to music for the first time so well done 😁
Roux- 1st floor 🥇, 3rd vault 🥉, 1st Overall 🏆

These girls also won gold as a team!! 🏆 well done Alanis, Holly, Frankie, Felicity & Roux

14&under Intermediate
