These are all the pictures of the damaged blocks in Yorkshire tradings ceiling and the 2 structural cracks on the gym floor, if you look at the cracks in the blocks you can see what look like screw holes, if you look at the structural cracks there is no damage to the floor screed from the dropping of weights.

Today marked the official ending of intrim after 38 years of trading, I would like to thank everyone that has supported me and the gym over the last 20 years, it’s been an amazing experience and it’s a real shame it’s ended the way it has.
I’m going to publish all the photos to show what has really happened and people can make up their own minds up about who is/was to blame

Gym update

On Friday last week marked 12 months since Yorkshire trading forced the gym to close and I have been fighting to get the gym reopened through our own structural engineers report as well as solicitors with no success, yesterday Tuesday 28th of June the landlords decided to change the locks and go for repossession due to me refusing to pay rent until the property was fit for purpose, I am going to be still fighting to get the gym reopened but now through the courts, the gym has not only lost a years worth of trade but members have lost not only memberships but one of the best gyms in the area, the gym has been run successfully for 37 years until last year and it has been my life for 19 1/2 years as well as training at intrim since 1986, I will post what I can on social media regarding structural engineers reports so members can see what has happened but without affecting any court case in the future.

Gym update

We was hoping to have the gym reopened at beginning of this month, not all the repairs have been completed and we haven’t been informed when they will be completed.

Memberships

My solicitors are putting together a claim for loss of income against My landlords which will include membership fees, hopefully the gym will reopen and memberships will continue in full. Some members may have lost a day, a week, a month or months and they all need to be accounted for, I cancelled all direct debits as soon as I knew there was going to be a problem and they will have to be set up again once we reopen.

I know this isn’t the news we all wanted but the gym is still in place and ready to reopen as soon as we can.

If you signed up with CFM on a 3 year deal try contacting CFM first to try and get a refund if they don’t once the gym reopens we will try and do something to compensate you but please appreciate the gym didn’t cause the problems and isn’t liable according to our insurance company but I personally wouldn’t want to see members lose out.
