It’s been a slightly delayed start to the season for our girls’ teams, with the exceptionally hard ground conditions meaning we’ve had to be patient and put player safety first.

But now we’re ready to get going! The next few weeks will see the girls take part in a number of pre-season friendlies, before the start of our league games, giving the squad the chance to get back into match mode, build combinations and put all that hard work at training into action.

We’re looking forward to another exciting season of rugby, plenty of challenges, lots of learning and, most importantly, enjoying playing together as a team.

What a brilliant turnout for our first Wednesday night training session of the season! 🙌

Over 60 girls across our U12, U14 & U16 age groups hit the pitch — and it was SO good to see everyone back! 🔥

Plenty of skills, plenty of laughs and, of course, plenty of rugby! 💪🏉

Needless to say… the girls were very happy to be back doing what they love! 😍

🏉 2026/27 GIRLS RUGBY SEASON – TRAINING DATES 🏉

Our final pre-season training session is this Wednesday at the club, 6.30pm–7.30pm, for all age groups.

Then, on Wednesday 9th September, we officially kick off our 2026/27 season across our four girls’ age groups: U12, U14, U16 & U18! 💪🏉

🏉 Introducing our U16 team for the 2026/27 season!

Made up of Year 10 & Year 11 players, this incredible group of girls brings energy, passion and teamwork to the pitch every single week.

United by their love of rugby, they've built friendships that extend far beyond the game—whether they're cheering on the Red Roses, taking on the inflatables at the water park, or inspiring our younger age groups during summer touch sessions.

We're incredibly proud that eight of our current Year 10 players were selected for the England PDG Pathway last season—an outstanding achievement and a testament to their hard work and commitment.

The team have a full fixtures list including: HOB Cup, Hampshire Super Series & Love Rugby Festivals.

Pre-season training starts on the 12th August at ERRFC between 6.30 -8.30pm.

Here's to another season of friendship, fun and fantastic rugby. 💙🏉

This week we came together to celebrate the players, coaches, managers, first aiders, volunteers, and families who make our club such a special place.

It’s been a season filled with teamwork, commitment, and plenty of memorable moments.

Thank you to everyone who has played their part both on and off the pitch — we can’t wait to do it all again next season.
