With over 50 years of dance experience across most dance styles – Karen has performed in Paris, at the Edinburgh Festival and the West end as well as appearing on ‘Come Dancing’ for those that remember the pre-runner to ‘Strictly Come Dancing’! Choreography draws on movements from latin, ballroom, jazz, modern, disco, lyrical, commercial, contemporary and street dance adapted for the older adult.

Classes are designed using Laban principles to give both health and skill benefits and Karen is accredited in both ‘KFA Moves’ and ‘KFA Sit and Stay Fit’ as well as being an active member of KFA (Keep Fit Association) and EMD UK (National governing body for group exercise) . Inspired by her parents who in their eighties are still dancing she is determined to bring her love of dance, movement and music to adults of all ages and abilities. If you want to keep active and improve your health, whilst having some fun then why not give it a go - first class is free!

This year’s National Festival is shaping up to be an exciting and creative celebration of everything we love about Keep Fit — and YOU could be part of the magic!
We’re thrilled to announce a unique opportunity for Keep Fit members to join the Opening Item, produced by the brilliant Lisa Terry.
If you love to move, perform, and be part of something special… this is your moment! 💛
⭐ WHO CAN TAKE PART?
👉 Open to all Keep Fit Association members
👉 Must be comfortable working on Zoom and able to pick things up quickly
👉 Ideally have experience performing at the Albert Hall — but enthusiasm counts too!
🎭 REHEARSALS
🕢 Evenings on Zoom
Likely Mondays or Thursdays (possibly Fridays)
Starting March 2026, all at 6:30pm
📍 In-person rehearsal at the Albert Hall, Nottingham
Friday 5th June 2026 – afternoon
Attendance required.
👗 COSTUME
• New Keep Fit T-shirt
• Plain black trousers/leggings/tights — any style
• Bare feet
