Based near Ringwood, Ellingham Cricket Club is a friendly and well run cricket club welcoming cricketers of all abilities. We have 2 Saturday adults teams, a friendly team and an evening Last Man Stands T20 team, so can offer competitive cricket no matter what your ability is. We are always looking for new players, young and old, regardless of ability. If you are involved with Ellingham Cricket Club, look for our Group Page. 🚨 TEAM NEWS | 1st XI 🚨

For one last time in 2026, here’s your Ellingham & Ringwood 1st XI as we make the trip to Sway CC for the final game of the season. 💙💛❤️

Last weekend’s result means promotion is unfortunately out of our hands, but that doesn’t change the aim this Saturday. We’ll be pulling on the shirt one final time this season, looking to finish the campaign strongly and give everything for the club.

It’s been a long season filled with plenty of highs, memorable performances, and fantastic support both home and away. We’d love to see as many supporters as possible make the short trip to Pennington and get behind the lads.

🏏 Weekend Results 🏏

A tough day at the office for both sides as our season heads towards its conclusion.

The 1st XI were beaten by Winton CC, falling 107 runs short despite Dan Carter’s 34 and a strong bowling effort from Mark Burrett, Daniel Carter and Jonty Holcroft. Congratulations to Dan Carter, our Man of the Match. 👏

The result sees us slip to 3rd place in Division 4A, meaning promotion is now out of our hands. We’ll need results elsewhere to go our way on the final weekend, but we’ll be giving everything when we travel to Sway CC for the last game of the season.

The 2nd XI also finished on the wrong side of the result against Lymington CC in their final fixture of the campaign. A brilliant 60 from Ben Warren earned him Man of the Match, while Tom Fairbank and Danny Camp were amongst the wickets. 👏

A huge thank you to everyone who has supported the club throughout the season. We would love to see as many members, supporters, friends and family as possible make the trip to Sway next weekend to get behind the 1st XI as they look to finish the season strongly and keep promotion hopes alive.

🏏 TEAM NEWS | Saturday Cricket 🏏

Two huge fixtures ahead for Ellingham & Ringwood this weekend as the season reaches its final stages.

🔵 1st XI
🆚 Winton CC
📍 Picket Post

🏆 HCL Division 4A

A massive game for the 1s, with just two matches remaining in the season. A victory this weekend would be another big step towards securing promotion and keeping the pressure on the team above.

🔵 2nd XI

🏆 HCL Division 6B

This will be the 2nd XI’s final fixture of the season, with a bye week scheduled for the last round next weekend. The side will be looking to finish their campaign on a high in front of the home support.

Good luck to Matthew Bull and Matt Taylor as they lead the sides this weekend, and a warm welcome to everyone supporting us at Picket Post and Woodside Park.

🏏 Saturday Results | Mixed Fortunes for E&RCC 🏏

A huge win on the road for the 1st XI as they continue the push for promotion with just 2 fixtures to go with a dominant 7-wicket victory over Winton CC.

After a superb bowling effort led by James Annison (4-46), supported by Mark Burrett (3-22) and Jonty Holcroft (2-41), Winton were dismissed for 201.

The chase was then blown away by an incredible counterpunch century from Dan Carter, coming in at 13-2 and smashing 106 from just 52 balls, alongside Kalindu Hettiarachchige 52* a partnership of 146 taking us to the target inside 26 overs. A performance worthy of the Player of the Match award. 💥👏

The 2nd XI were involved in a high-scoring contest at PBL against Hythe & Dibden. Despite excellent contributions from Ben Warren (57) and Andy Weeks (54), the side fell just short, losing by 21 runs. With the ball Sanoop Palliyil (3-59) and Danny Camp (2-37) were the pick of the bowlers.

2 to go for the 1st XI but the final game of the season for the 2nd XI comes next weekend - will we see a MEGA weekend?!

🏏 WEEKEND RESULTS | 1s MARCH ON, 2s FALL SHORT 🏏

A mixed weekend for Ellingham & Ringwood CC, with the 1st XI securing another important victory while the 2nd XI were unable to get over the line against Beaulieu.

💙 1st XI
✅ Won by 38 runs away to Cranborne CC

A strong all-round performance saw the 1s post 217 before bowling Cranborne out for 179. Another half-century from Ollie Hills (51) and Charles Clamp (40) laid the platform with the bat. But it could have been very different with the hosts sitting comfortable at 155-3 after 30 overs a terrific spell from James Annison turned the tide, finishing with figures of 4-27 from 9 overs to earn a well-deserved Man of the Match award.

👏 Contributions also came from Dan Carter (25), Ollie Hills (3 wickets) and Jonty Holcroft (2 wickets).

💛 2nd XI
❌ Lost by 8 wickets to Beaulieu CC

After being restricted to 90 all out, the 2s battled hard in the field but Beaulieu reached the target with wickets in hand. Marcus Burnay top-scored with an unbeaten 25* and was named Man of the Match, while wickets for Tom Fairbank and Danny Camp provided the highlights with the ball.

Another huge weekend ahead for Ellingham & Ringwood CC as both sides look to keep the momentum going in the Hampshire Cricket League.

🔥 1st XI travel to Cranborne CC in a crucial Division 4A clash. With the race for promotion tightening up, Bull’s side will be looking to put in a strong performance and bounce back from the recent form to maintain their push towards promotion.

🏠 2nd XI return to Picket Post where they host Beaulieu CC in Division 6B. After some encouraging performances this season, Taylor’s team will be aiming to make home advantage count and secure another important victory.

🏏 WEEKEND RESULTS | 1st XI & 2nd XI 🏏

A weekend that brought mixed fortunes for the club, with the 2nd XI securing an excellent victory on the road while the 1st XI suffered a narrow defeat despite posting a strong total.

🔵 1st XI
Ellingham & Ringwood CC 265/7
Verwood CC 267/6

A frustrating afternoon for the 1s as Verwood chased down our 265 with just five balls remaining. There were plenty of positives with a superb century from Mark Burrett (113), well supported by Sam Taylor (66) and Harry Jacobs (33 off 22). With the ball, Jonty Holcroft (3-61) led the attack, but Verwood edged home by 4 wickets.

Cadnam CC 181 all out
Ellingham & Ringwood CC 182/6

A fantastic away win for the 2s, chasing down 182 to claim victory by 4 wickets. Andy Weeks (69) anchored the innings, while James Lear (29)* saw the side home. Earlier, Tom Fairbank (4-29) and Kalindu Hettiarachchige (3-55) did the damage with the ball to set up the win.

we've just finished an amazing 8 weeks of cricket
with our cohort of 5-11 year olds. We'd like to take a moment to thank all of the parents and family members who supported their little players through the course. We hope to see you all back next year. Lastly a massive thank you to our coaches Tom Fairbank and Jason Robertson, and all the other members of the club that have stepped in to help out!
