Rickmansworth Yoga Yoga - Mindfulness - Meditation - Massage She then went onto travel in South East Asia (Thailand & India) where she became interested in Massage & Buddhism.

Yoga entered Alexandra’s life back in 1992 when she enrolled on a weekly Hatha yoga class in Rickmansworth and continued for several years experiencing the different postures, breathing exercises, meditations, energy centres (chakras) and Buddhist principles. This led her to study in a wide range of touch and mind therapies on her return to the UK and slowly build up her practice and reputation. D

uring this time she tried out other forms of yoga and movement: Astanga (Yan/Power Yoga) 5 Rhythms and Feldenkrais otherwise known as Awareness through movement. In 2002 she relocated to South Devon and started practising Restorative yoga inspired by Vanda Scaravelli (Awakening the Spine) with Bill Wood until 2014, As well as some Astanga yoga with John Evans, whilst training in a degree in Contemporary Choreography at Dartington College of Arts. Between 2007 and 2014 Alexandra taught & performed in Contemporary Flamenco, taught Cuban Salsa and offered Zumba Fitness & Toning sessions within her community. In 2014 she moved back to her hometown and started teaching yoga to groups (& one to one) of friends and family members in her garden and dining room. After her first year of teaching with the support from her teacher and students, she decided to take the 200hr Yoga Alliance - Yoga & Mindfulness Teacher Training course with Still Flowing Yoga in Ibiza (May 2015). Her practice is constantly growing and she now offers private yoga sessions within clients’ homes and a regular weekly class on Tuesdays from the Rickmansworth Yoga Shala.

This year I set an intention to do something and go somewhere different every month. Why you may ask? Because I know taking a different turn, making a different choice will shake up your routine and bring about CHANGE.
Covid slowed my life down and changed how I saw the world, I am sure most of you can say the same. I gave teaching a break for the first time in 20+years, focused on my family and practice at the clinic.
At the start of this year I wanted change, so I thought CHANGE and that's what I manifested. I visited new territories from the lake district, the white cliffs, the peaks and to the mountains of northern Spain.
By April my own Studio in Rickmansworth started to attract new clients and students for regular Sports Massage and one to one movement sessions.
Last month I launched myself into some intense study with the British Wheel of Yoga and in 2025 I shall be sharing it with you. Watch this space! 🙏🕉💝
As this year comes to an end I would like to thank everyone for their love and support and I feel positive and excited for 2025!

Don’t prioritise your looks my friend, as they won’t last the journey.
Your sense of humour though, will only get better with age.
Your intuition will grow and expand like a majestic cloak of wisdom.
Your ability to choose your battles, will be fine-tuned to perfection.
Your capacity for stillness, for living in the moment, will blossom.
Your desire to live each and every moment will transcend all other wants.
Your instinct for knowing what (and who) is worth your time, will grow and flourish like ivy on a castle wall.
Don’t prioritise your looks my friend,
they will change forevermore, that pursuit is one of much sadness and disappointment.
Prioritise the uniqueness that make you you, and the invisible magnet that draws in other like-minded souls to dance in your orbit.
These are the things which will only get better.
