The latest group from our combined Protection Group courses have just finished their last formative assessment on and around central Londons operational arenas .
A great group from a variety of backgrounds - mainly former uniformed military and civilian services .
The training team ,role players , incident staff are once again proud of the final level of achievements by all .
We look forward to deploying with you in all the roles assigned .

With a new Training Lead we are looking forward to a series of professional development based courses starting with this one -

The Specialist Training Team are proud to confirm that the National Protection Driving Course is again open to commercial candidates as of March
We deliver the course in parallel with our Close Protection Courses, a partner Surveillance course as well as the occasional visitor from leading departments and agencies at a governmental level.
Th team will be announcing 2 level 2 Driving Courses in the near future -
1 -Aimed at Close Protection practitioners working in a London role - legal obligations , HNW Topography, and enhanced driving skills all once a RoSPA Silver or gold is achieved
2- Aimed at Professional drivers who may work with security teams and need a full immersive experience built around security needs again once a RoSPA Silver or Gold award is achieved .

The Team has expanded and the new style UK SIA CP Licence course requirements are - well 'unique'.
As the first in the country to deliver the course the students have excelled at the pure CP elements for the UK Soft Skills the 'door supervisor' elements are frankly unneeded. BUT the guys and girls need to get their licences and that’s what they need to do. Without the suport of the Awarding Organisation it would be a minefield. Thanks to All at QNUK- very let down by Pearson however .
The operational training in the real world is still deliverable and although not everyone made it some of the graduates from some of the UK's foremost military and civilian organisations seem to have enjoyed it.
The specialist courses are incredibly busy and the new level 2 driving, RPO, level 3 BDO+ Aztec course are due to the Manchester Arena enquiry are oversubscribed heavily now.

We now gear-up for the largest client led pre-deployment training packages ever, 2 deployments to Head of State protection units to deliver specialist training , delivery of the new menu of courses , recruitment of additional trainers and potentially a move to a dedicated location -within 100m of our current base .......... the boss says we can have Christmas off !

The Training Team are seeking expressions of interest from new candidates to the Close Protection Industry-

We have 2 new projects requiring significant- particularly female operators due to cultural reasons - entry level male applicants also for clarity-

We are considering conducting a Close Protection Course in the NEW FORMAT- with the new modules delivered late April the Main Course and medical Package at the beginning of MAY.

We have been given client funding meaning we can conduct both the CP modules at £500 +VAT per person -
The medical package will be billed separately as its not covered by the funding.

This is a one off idea and if its a non-starer then then we will revert to normal channels .

UK Nationality/ Residency is a requirement for access to funding
The courses run by us are not attendance only and pass/fail should be understood.

Unfortunaltey next weeks Level 3 medical response - FPOSi course has had to be postponed due to a family tragedy affecting the trainers.
We fully support all involved and firmly believe ‘family first’ is the only way to view these difficult incidents .

We and the Medical Training Team will endeavour to put a replacement course together before the November course if at all possible

The current Close Protection training course has been operating across Central London and the South - getting used to all the current HNW sectors vehicles and their peculiarities . They’ve visited more landmarks than most intrepid tourists do in months, planned for interventions , traffic disruption , paint/knife/ Verbal and physical attacks- heart conditions , enthusiastic fans, affairs and paparazzi to name a few . They all dress more Marks and Spencer than their parents do , white shirts have given way to pastel colours and blazers . They’ve become a team not a group of individuals and there’s less of them than there was on day one .
Above all they’ve learned from some incredible people . Now it’s time to see how the cope with the next 48 hours .
It’s about the willingness to embrace and understand the environment , trust the person next to them and above all protect - in every way . Best of luck to all

Our last National Protection course of the year begins 16th October
Our last level 3 Protection Driver and Mobile skills course starts on the 23rd October -this includes full RoSPA assesment which must passed before the operational elements .

The Specialist Training Team have begun this months cycle of training delivery - The Adam Gent having just finished our 5 day enhanced medical package with an exceptional group of people . Thorough and realistic training for most things - the Ops team asked if the ‘Woke + Wounded’ box could be built in - apparently it’s not a real thing anyway .
Tommorow the National Protection Course kicks off with an impressive group of candidates with some interesting backgrounds and with an international candidate from a national protection organisation- the visitors and location access for this course will be great for all .

The current National Protection Course had its continuation Mobile skills day today - which included the vehicles we use throughout the course being put through their paces; now including the new environmental skid pan . Vehicle fleet includes the full suite of HNW task vehicles as well as our Armoured BMW Saloon .
They then moved on to incident management skills based in and around vehicles .
It’s about the people being trained for the actual roles they’re going to undertake - not what many unfortunately get- what is in effect a fantasy ‘stag weekend’ !
We practice what we teach with real clients, with real risks and requirements . We train for them.
