Thunder, lightning, hail… and still we strolled! ⛈️👣🦼

The weather certainly kept us on our toes today, but it was fantastic to see some of you at our monthly Roll & Stroll in Bushy Park.

Rain or shine, these afternoons are always a wonderful reminder of the power of movement, fresh air and good company.

Thank you to everyone who braved the elements and joined us: we loved seeing you all. 💙

Here’s hoping for a little less drama from the weather next month! 🌿☀️ and we hope to see more of you 🤗 Reminder: Roll and Stroll- every first Tuesday of each month. 3:30pm at Pheasantry cafe, Bushy park 🌳

Goodbyes are never easy 💜 🥹🙏Today was last day at The Neuro Rehab Practice, and it’s hard to put into words just how grateful we are for everything she has brought to the team. 🤗

Her kindness, dedication, encouragement and genuine care for every client have touched so many lives. She’s been not only an amazing neuro physiotherapist, but also a wonderful colleague and friend. ☺️❤️

Thank you for all the laughs, support, hard work and heart you’ve given over the years. You will be deeply missed by us all.

Wishing you so much happiness and success in your next chapter ✨ Once part of the team, always part of the team 💙

Movement is medicine 👣🧠

The Neuro Rehab Practice team attended the ACPIN Conference (14th–15th May) to refresh knowledge, explore new ideas and stay up to date with the latest in neurorehabilitation.

One message stood out throughout the conference:
✨ Physical activity is one of the most powerful tools we have.

Movement supports not only strength and mobility, but also brain health, cognition, mood, sleep, balance and overall wellbeing.

For stroke survivors, staying active may even help reduce long-term disability and stroke recurrence risk 👣🧠

Always learning, evolving and bringing new ideas back into practice 💙

Do you know CPR? 👀

We recently completed our BLS training with
(Steve Furnell), trainer and founder of RAMC – Resuscitation, CPR & Medical Emergencies Training — and once again, it was outstanding. 👏

Each year, Steve brings not only up-to-date knowledge and new guidelines, but also real-life experience, practical insight and the kind of teaching that truly builds confidence.

You can tell when someone genuinely cares about what they do and Steve’s passion for educating people, improving emergency response and ultimately helping save lives shines through every training .

🚨 Do you know your CPR basics?
1️⃣ Check for a response
2️⃣ Call 999 / ask for help
3️⃣ Start chest compressions
4️⃣ Keep going until help arrives or someone can swap with you

A few key reminders from training:
✔️ CPR is physically demanding : use your whole body weight, not just your arms
✔️ Keep your shoulders directly over your hands, arms straight, lean in with your body weight
✔️ If possible, swap every 2 minutes to keep compressions effective
✔️ A great rhythm guide? Think of the beat to “Stayin’ Alive” 🎵

✔️ Hands -only CPR saves lives
✔️ Early CPR+ early defibrillation = best chance of survival ✔️ survival rate has gone up in the recent years- because of the continuous increase in CPR trainings ( scouts, in schools, baby groups, workplaces) These trainings are such an important reminder that learning CPR can genuinely save a life: and the more confident and prepared people feel, the better. 🫀✨

So… what did YOU do this weekend? 😄

Our manager Orlaith was out running the London Landmarks Half Marathon 2026🏃‍♀️🔥

Alongside her friend Jess, raising funds for The Brain charity 🧠💙 💚

We talk a lot about neuroplasticity in rehab and staying active, setting goals and challenging yourself are all part of keeping the brain adapting and thriving.

Movement matters: at every level 💪

🏃‍♀️🏉 An Amazing Evening at the Allianz Stadium 5K!

The 7 January 2026 Allianz Stadium 5K was an incredible event : one that combined fitness, fun, and fundraising in a setting steeped in rugby history. Most importantly, it helped shine a light on the incredible work of the RFU Injured Players Foundation and the ongoing need to support injured players long after the final whistle.

Richard and Orlaith, along with their daughter Ava, were proud to take part, and we at The Neuro Rehab Practice are delighted to celebrate the power of movement, community, and giving back to support recovery journeys. 🏃‍♀️ 💛Press on link - https://www.rfuipf.org.uk/

Who says rehab can’t feel like dancing? 💃🧠
With Christmas jingles in the background and steps perfectly synchronised, this session shows how movement + rhythm can support recovery after stroke.

Small steps. Big brain changes.
