That is why we use the InBody scanner at 3 Sixty Personal Training.
All our members are able to book onto the body scanner and we also carry out monthly reviews to look through their progress properly.
This means we are not just guessing.
The scanner gives us useful information about things like:
Body fat percentage
Skeletal muscle mass
Visceral fat
Body water balance
Muscle balance
Progress over time
It also helps us calculate more accurate calorie targets, so we can give members clear nutrition guidance based on their body, their goals and their progress.
And because we are qualified to coach people through this properly, we can help adjust those targets over time as their body changes.
That might mean increasing calories, reducing calories, changing protein targets, adjusting training or simply reassuring someone that they are making progress even if the scales have not moved much.
This is where the monthly reviews matter.
We sit down, look at what has changed, discuss what is working, spot where support is needed and build a clear plan for the next stage.
Because progress is not just about weighing less.
It is about becoming stronger, healthier, fitter and more confident.
Weight is only one number.
