As the season comes to an end, we just want to say a huge thank you to everyone who has been part of our Rhyl U7s journey this year.

Thank you to all our sponsors for your support throughout the season. It truly makes a difference.
Thank you to all our coaches for giving up your evenings and weekends week after week to help the boys learn, grow and enjoy their rugby.

Thank you to all the parents as well. We played so many away games this season and still regularly had more than 10 players turning up, which is absolutely incredible support and commitment.

And most importantly, thank you to all the boys. Your attitude all season has been fantastic. Always wanting to learn more, train more, improve more, and most importantly enjoy yourselves. Watching the progress from the first training session to now has been amazing.

A brilliant season all round and we cannot wait to see everyone again for summer training and another great year ahead.

Bethesda Tournament πŸ‰
(03/05/2026)

What a lovely way to finish the season with our final tournament and game in Bethesda.

The atmosphere throughout the day was brilliant and it was fantastic to see the boys enjoying every minute of it. Looking back to the beginning of the season and comparing it to this final tournament, the improvement in every single player is incredible to see.

Not only have their rugby skills come on massively, but you can really see the team starting to gel together as a group. Their confidence, teamwork and attitude towards each other have grown so much over the season and that has been one of the best things to watch.

A fantastic way to end a brilliant season together.

Wrexham Tournament (26 April)

Our Rhyl U7s took part in their very first tournament today in Wrexham!!

We had such a great turnout that we entered two teams, which is amazing to see and says a lot about the enthusiasm from the boys.
They played every team with real determination and energy.

Looking at them now compared to when they first started the season, the improvement is clear.
Their confidence, teamwork and understanding of the game have all come on so much.

Always positive, always playful, and always enjoying their rugby. That is what it is all about.

A big thank you to all the coaches as well for giving up their weekends to support and guide the boys. It does not go unnoticed.

A fantastic first tournament experience for everyone involved.

Rhyl U7s vs Denbigh πŸ‰
(19 April)

The final game of the season for our Rhyl U7s, before we head into a few tournaments, and what a way to finish.
The boys put in a brilliant performance from start to finish. You could really see how much they wanted it, with great energy across the pitch and everyone fully involved. There were tags flying in, strong runs, great tries, and plenty of moments to be proud of.
The weather was on our side too. Sunny, calm, and a perfect morning for rugby, which made it even more enjoyable for everyone watching.
A fantastic way to wrap up the season and we cannot wait to see what the upcoming tournaments bring.

Rhyl U7s vs Rhyl U8s πŸ‰
(22 March)

A special fixture for our Rhyl U7s as they stepped up to play against the U8s. Playing a year up is never easy, but the boys showed real determination and an unfaltering spirit from start to finish.

They kept pushing, supported each other, and never shied away from the challenge. It was brilliant to see them rise to it and give such a strong account of themselves.

A big well done to the U8s as well, who were fantastic on the day.

More than anything, it was a great day for the club. Plenty of community spirit on show, with both teams coming together afterwards to enjoy hot dogs in the clubhouse. A really lovely way to wrap up the morning.

Rhyl U7s Mini Tournament πŸ‰
(12 April 2026)

With our scheduled opponents unfortunately having to cancel, our Rhyl U7s made the most of it and organised their own mini tournament. The squad was split into teams and played against each other, turning it into a brilliant morning of rugby.

You could really see a different side to the boys as they played against teammates they train with every week. There was a lot of playfulness, creativity and confidence on show, while still keeping that competitive edge.

To finish the day, the teams were awarded first, second and third place, with all the boys receiving medals and a few Easter sweet treats.

A really lovely session all round and great preparation as we head into tournament season.

πŸ‰ Rhyl U7s vs Mold πŸ‰
(1st March 2026)

Possibly one of the best games the boys have played in a long time. From the first whistle to the last, the whole team was fantastic.

The passes were sharp, the decisions on the pitch were quick, and you could really see how much their confidence has grown. Tries, tags, teamwork, and support play were all brilliant to watch.

It honestly would have been impossible to pick a Player of the Match this week because every single one of the boys played incredibly well and contributed to such a great performance.

A real team effort all round.

πŸ‰ Rhyl U7s vs Ruthin πŸ‰
(8th March 2026)

Finally a home game for our Rhyl U7s after months of travelling for away matches. It was great to be back on our own pitch hosting Ruthin.

Both teams played really well and it made for a brilliant morning of rugby. The weather is finally starting to improve too, and you can really see the difference in the boys’ play now that their fingers are no longer red and freezing. The quality of the rugby keeps getting better each week.

πŸ‰ Nant Conwy vs Rhyl U7s (1 February) πŸ‰

Another strong showing from our Rhyl U7s as they travelled to Nant Conwy on 1 February. The boys are really starting to grow in confidence, backing themselves more on the ball and getting involved in every phase of play.

It was great to see them supporting one another, calling for passes, and tracking back with real determination. The progress week by week is clear, and their enjoyment of the game shines through every time they step onto the pitch.

πŸ‰ Nant Conwy vs Rhyl U7s (22 February) πŸ‰

Despite not being able to train for weeks because of the weather, our Rhyl U7s showed just how resilient they are in Nant Conwy. You honestly would not have guessed they had missed training sessions.

They played with confidence, worked together brilliantly, and showed real determination throughout. It was fantastic to see how quickly they found their rhythm again and supported each other on the pitch. A great performance from the whole team.
