At Club 45 Kids, we want football to be what it should be at this age…

FUN! 🙌⚽️

No pressure to be the best.
No worrying about making mistakes.
No trials or needing to prove yourself.

And one thing that’s really important to us…

📣 NO SHOUTING FROM THE SIDELINES!

We absolutely love parents watching and supporting, but let the kids play, learn, make mistakes, score goals, miss chances and most importantly ENJOY THEMSELVES.

👏 Encourage them.
😊 Applaud them.
💙 Be proud of them.

Leave the coaching to us and let them fall in love with the beautiful game.

Some kids will be brilliant footballers. Some might be kicking a ball properly for the first time.

Both are equally welcome at Club 45.

It’s not about producing the next Premier League superstar…

It’s about kids going home on Saturday morning asking:

“Can I go again next week?” ❤️⚽️

⚽😂 CLUB 45 MEN’S FOOTBALL 😂⚽

Think Club 45 is just turning up, kicking a ball about for an hour and then spending the next 24 hours complaining about your knees?

Well… it is a bit. 🤣

But it’s also a proper community of lads who still love the beautiful game — even if the beautiful game doesn’t always love our hamstrings! 🫣

👴 Men’s recreational football for over 40s
⚽ All abilities welcome
🚫 No refs
🚫 No egos
🚫 No daft tackles
✅ Plenty of laughs
✅ New friendships
✅ And the occasional player who still thinks he’s 21!

Every Club 45 group has its own WhatsApp group, where we put up a weekly poll so you can simply tick whether you’re playing that week — no need to commit every week.

And then there’s the Club 45 Banter Group… 😳😂

Everyone from all our different venues can join that one — football chat, terrible jokes, mickey-taking, photos, questionable VAR decisions and generally blaming someone else for your team losing. 🤣

You can just stay in your local football group or join the wider Club 45 madness as well — completely up to you.

The hardest bit is sending that first message.

After that, just turn up, have a kickabout and enjoy yourself.

Turn up not knowing anyone… leave as mates. ❤️⚽

⚽ CLUB 45… JUST ANOTHER FOOTBALL GROUP? ⚽

You’d be forgiven for thinking that.

There are loads of groups out there getting together, having a game of footy, then shutting their eyes when there’s a late tackle, a sneaky kick or someone suddenly thinks they’re playing in the Champions League. 😂

And that’s where Club 45 is different.

We have the Club 45 ethos.

No daft tackles.
No egos.
No need to prove anything.

Just people wanting to enjoy the beautiful game again. ❤️⚽

But even that doesn’t tell the full story.

Club 45 has become a group of men and women who genuinely care about each other.

We’ve even got guys and gals who have moved abroad — no, not to escape Club 45 😂 — but to better their lives.

And when they come back home?

One of the first things they want to do is get their boots back on and play with Club 45.

That says everything.

Then there’s the bit after the final whistle…

🍺 A sociable drink.
🗣️ A natter.
😂 Plenty of taking the mick out of each other.

And Top Knot Alex is now in charge of the regular Club 45 socials — with Alsager next on the list! 🍻😂

People who were complete strangers have become mates.

Friendships have been made that probably would never have happened without one simple thing bringing everyone together…

⚽ A game of football.

So no…

Club 45 isn’t just another football group.

It’s football.
It’s friendship.
It’s laughter.
It’s support.
It’s community.

And perhaps the most exciting part of all…

🚨 A MUST-READ POST… 🚨

I probably don’t say this enough, mainly because I still can’t quite believe what Club 45 has become and what it brings to so many people.

When Club 45 began, all I wanted was a group of fellas to be able to have a game of football again. ⚽

A game where we didn’t have to worry about flying tackles, getting injured or trying to prove anything.

Just turn up, kick a ball about, have a laugh and enjoy playing football again at our age.

But what it has turned into is something I could never have imagined. ❤️

Paul from our Abergele group summed Club 45 up perfectly in one sentence:

“Turn up not knowing anyone… leave as friends.”

And that really is it.

Nobody cares what you do for a living, what you’ve done in the past, how good you are at football, what car you drive or what shirt you wear.

Nobody cares who or what you are… but they genuinely care that you’re OK.

People notice when you’re missing.
People message to see if you’re alright.
People take the mick out of you relentlessly 😂… but they’re also there when you need them.

Yes, we started as a football group.

But somewhere along the way, Club 45 became a community.

And I genuinely hope it carries on for a very, very long time.

Because it turns out it was never just about the football. ❤️⚽
